Please Don’t just say something about it being her body and that she can do what she wants, because that’s not the question im asking for your answer to, and obviously she’s made that decision based upon if she does or doesn’t have her belly button pierced. Both sexes can answer, if you’re a girl and happen to have your belly button pierced, state that in your response as well, im just curious honestly. Anyone can also state what kind of belly button piercings they like the most, whether it be the top and bottom of their belly button pierced, just a simpler one like the pic I found online shown below, or ones that dangle. Personally I have only seen a small number of girls both IRL and online that have belly button piercings that I may think don’t quite belong. Belly button piercings on Most girls who have belly button piercings, I tend to find attractive to begin with, (mainly because the vast majority of girls who have them often have a smaller, or more petite/skinny or fit figure) so their belly button piercing just makes them all that more attractive to me.

Well, I think it can be very attractive but just like any other adornment, it's not for everyone. And it suits lean body types better in my opinion but then again, it's whether the wearer wants one or not. Sadly, it is also a very underestimated piercing. Most people have no idea that it actually takes many months to heal fully and the area is very sensitive. Rough handling, sea water, swimming pools can wreak absolute havoc on a healing piercing and many people simply can't handle the pressure of healing such a care-demanding piercing so yeah, not for everyone.
Here’s my thing. It can work. But like any other piercing or similar body modification there are preconceptions about people with unusual piercings or tattoos. Personally I don’t subscribe to these preconceptions but many people do. And anyone who gets such a piercing should be aware of and prepared for that. Ultimately I don’t care if someone has a belly button piercing, or a nose piercing, or eye tattoos for all I care. It’s their body and they aren’t hurting anyone by doing those things to themselves. All that matters is that they’re happy with it.
I think it depends on what you’re wearing and how you carry yourself. Some girls can pull it off and others not so much. I have mine pierced, sometimes I hate it and don’t wear it and other times I’ll put it back in, I guess just depending on my mood lol

I used to have one when I was a teen. I think it's cool like other common piercings like ears, lips, nose, eyebrows. Now, my skin (the top part of the piercing) gets thinner, verryyyy thin. I can't wear any belly jewelry. If anybody still wants one, it would be better to have it when you're older. Well, up to you.
I have my belly button pierced, just like the girl in your image, and I absolutely love it. I think it's really sexy, especially when wearing a bikini. I think the idea of them being "trashy" is very old fashioned! If anyone if thinking of getting a piercing and has questions about it/taking care of it definitely lmk :)
My girlfriend and her mom pierced also both wear outfits are belly exposure. You said "really sexy" absolutely true, I encouraged to both wear different styles of belly studs and show off.
I love piercings in general. Piercing girl's belly buttons is honestly the second most intimate piercing I've done (not a pro, but I did them for free when I was a teenager and I was pretty good at it, so all my friends kept wanting piercings, I made them buy sterile kits and I'd do it).
For me, I think because of my experiences piercing, it's a very different attraction than just it looking cute. It's hard to explain, but it is definitely more than just a cute look. Yes, most of the time they do have flat stomachs, but even a bit of pudge and i think it still looks good.
@treetreena I don't know, that doesn't seem to look good to begin with. I think it is supposed to show what a healthy healing color is rather than that is definitely NOT healing.
Like you said, i find them attractive on smaller/petite girls. Generally i think it looks good, not slutty nor trashy (but can be, if someone chooses some weird shape), but you have to be fit to wear one and look good with it. The example picture in your post is the one i like the most. I'm not fan of the more complicated types. The smaller it is the better. This one or similar ones are fine too in my opinion.
I'm not generally a fan of piercings below the neck area, but I don't think a belly button piercing looks bad or I at least dislike it less than any other piercing below the neck.
Personally, I PREFER no piercings below the neck area in general, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker, I don't think and I do think it would look better on girls with a flatter/toned out stomach.
Definitely agree with your update. People need to get over the fact that others have preferences and stop acting as if they're wrong for having different tastes to them.

Meh its just another piercing, people can do whatever they want as long as I ain't involved lol I don't have piercings or tattoos so when the day finally comes that us 'clean skins' are considered the most beautiful I shall unveil myself like an blank sheet of paper! Tiocfaidh ár lá!!
It really easily gets infected and can cause really and diseases (sound over the top i know but it’s true). Don’t think much of them to be honest except for that
I don't care, it doesn't add or substract any attraction just a waste, oh and if you want people to look at your belly button make sure you got a nice belly in the first place. That's something that add attractive value.
I have one, it’s really sexy. I got mine recently and always wanted one since a kid and a teen, but I was too fat lmao. I lost weight in my early twenties and now I got one of my 90s dreams 😂
@Daniela1982 we have a dress code but basically nobody follows it. Showing your midriff isn’t a big deal really. You’d have to be near naked before anything actually happens to you. I’ve seen girls with shorts so short that their butt cheeks are hanging out and tight crop tops. The only thing that you’ll really get punished for right away is wearing clothes with something offensive or inappropriate written on them.
There are very few women that I have seen that I thought it looked good on. I like the belly without it mostly though, probably because I really like a smooth belly.
I don't find it "trashy", neither it's something I see as sexy or hot. It's like whatever. However, I absolutely hate nose piercings, I don't know why but they give off impression of stupidity.

I believe it’s probably the most common as well, however I simply believe those piercings look the best on the thinner body types, just my personal preference
People might be attracted to the artistic message it sends or whatever else cool message it sends but it would make no sense if we would be more attractive with a piece of metal in us. In a way I find it as a negative if anything.
I don't find them pretty or sexy at all to be honest.

I don't like it at all, but I don't like any form of jewellery anyway. It doesn't look good to wrap/stick a random piece of metal around/to a part of your body. It's weird. It developed from rich peoples' desire to show off their wealth as it was expensive to acquire the metals/jewels, but now that it can be produced cheap enough for anyone to afford, it doesn't even make sense for that reason now
I knew people would say it if I didn’t put some context in the question, I understand that and I agree with it, but again, my question was what you think about them, not necessarily about the person, but I do understand where you come from in that regard, thank you for your thoughts in your reply 🙂

With the exception of ear piercings, I believe belly button piercings are the most common, but I don’t believe they’re as common as some people think, they do seem to be increasing in popularity at least from my observations however

Valiant, I would agree with your comment based on my personal preferences, however being a realist, people can choose to do whatever they want with their bodies, my question was primarily asking if you thought they were trashy or attractive in general without really taking a girls body type into consideration as a factor. @ketzaleee Because the point of a belly piercing is to highlight your stomach area. Chubby girls definitely have never rocked it better then someone with a toned stomach. You can be thin and still not have the body for it.
