Makeup is supposed to accentuate your features - not function as a mask.

That's a complete lie, unless the makeup is overapplied giving an artifical look
Not all men do, and of course wearing make up is too impress (at least be honest with yourself about that.)
Think the point is that many girls overdo makeup when they could get by with so much less and actually look better.

I want a real person, not some plastic person.
I guarantee you that any woman you have ever seen on any TV show, movie, news anchor, print media, ad, or article that ever thought was attractive..., was wearing some sort of cosmetic. So to say that they look plastic with makeup is ignorant. It doesn't make them fake any more than wearing cologne or body spray or deodorant makes you fake for masking your true scent.

It means they're superficially attractive, but it's so effective that you often can't know what they really look like and that's what matters. Scent is not the same because I don't care what they really smell like.
Consider two women who look identical with make up on, and one looks much more attractive than the other when neither have makeup. Who are we going to decide is more attractive there? Who takes preference? I think it's obviously the woman who you find attractive all the time, rather than only some of the time. If we ask who is fundamentally the more attractive person, the one who looks attractive without makeup is going to have greater appeal on the whole.
Now you're backpedaling. You said it is fake to wear make up and you want a real person and not a plastic. The argument wasn't attractive versus attractive. You made it seem like a person wearing makeup is fake, plastic and unappealing.
@MrQuick I was hoping to bait the asker into a conversation by being vague. I just hooked the wrong person. Truth is the plastic aspect is there, but the full idea is that guys in general want women to both be attractive and not wear makeup at the same time. Would you agree with that?

And I feel like I should clarify further by saying that that's not me criticizing guys. I think it's totally okay for guys to feel that way.

Simplicity is way more beautiful. For my opinion, wearing make-up is not the real you but its just cover for who you really are.

Many guys at my school/guys I've dated in the past. Plus it's everywhere that guys like girls without makeup but when they point out girls who are beautiful they always go with girls who clearly have makeup on. It ruins girls confidence because they see their natural beauty as not beautiful enough

I think everyone should wear what they want if it doesn't hurt anyone. Like obviously not naked in public unless it's a nudist community. But like guys can wear makeup big they want, girls should also be able to or not, and girls with any body shape should be able to wear whatever makes them comfortable. Im not dissing girls who wear too much makeup or no makeup at all. Everyone should be able to Express themselves with what they wear

I get that, I'm just trying to figure out why guys are Soo against makeup on girls, they say they like natural beauty but like I said they tend to go for girls with natural looking makeup. It's not natural and makes people feel bad about how they look because they don't natural look the way they do with natural makeup
Describe "natural makeup"
Natural makeup tends to cover up blemishes, maybe a light blush, a little mascara, lip gloss, sometimes eyebrows are filled in and a light eyeshadow with little or no color. Just that little bit can change how a girl looks.
That basically explains, wearing makeup, so, how is it any different than "non natural"
Natural makeup tends to cover everything without being "flashy" other makeup has darker or more vibrant colors, for example applying eyeshadows in different ways (smokey eye, halo eye, cut crease, etc) and a darker or more vibrant lip, darker blush, contour and bronzer, eyeliner, highlight. It involves the way they apply it and the colors.
So what you're saying is, anything thatbisnt meant to just cover up skin flaws

I once told a girl who told me she forgot to put part of her make up on, that she didn't need it. I should have continued, saying "you're pretty without it no matter". She looked up, smiled, and rolled her eyes. Did I do something wrong?
You didn't do anything wrong, I'm just saying guys tend to go with girls who naturally good skin with no blemishes, who have long and full eyelashes so they don't need mascara. Most girls have blemishes and scars and it's what makes them beautiful. You complimented a girl, that doesn't make you a criminal. I feel like anyone should wear what they feel comfortable wearing, if that's a full face or a bare face it's not hurting anyone
