Girls, How Do You Feel About Yourself When You're Not Wearing Makeup?
If you don't wear any in general you can describe how you feel as well.
Depends on the condition of my skin because I have hereditary acne and it's just a very problematic type, I always have pimples, scars, redness, bad texture, pores and what not.
I feel very confident when my skin is clear. I definitely don't feel as good when my skin isn't clear! Lol.
I don't think it makes me look ugly... But let's get real, it looks really bad. I'm not insecure on a personal level where I start feeling shit about myself or whatever when I'm breaking out.
I don't wear makeup daily. On a usual day when I'm going to my classes and gym I wear no makeup at all, only sometimes a lipstick if I think it's gonna look cute with the dress that I'm wearing, or a little pencil eyeliner once in a blue moon because I always get compliments when I do it, lol. I wear makeup on outings and special occasions like when I hang out with friends or go to a wedding. I keep my makeup appropriate to the occasion, I keep it simple for a casual hangout and go full on glam for weddings and parties 😂 the coverage of my base makeup depends on the condition of my skin. If my skin is clear I don't feel the need for a lot of foundation or concealer.
Depends. Am I tired? Did I have time to do my hair? Or is my hair looking nice? Am I dressed well? Is my skin looking good at the moment? All of these can influence how I look and feel. If i have time to do my hair and dress as usual, I am not tired and I don't have a bad skin day then I am fine.
People at work have seen me only with makeup since I started working there. Sometimes minimal, sometimes more obvious. We went on a trip and I didn't wear any makeup. Nobody seem to be surprised. Everyone knew who I was. I met knew people and they treated me exactly like I am treated when i am wearing makeup. So I in most cases I feel the same. When I look tired or when I had acne I felt a bit insecure, but not to the point I wouldn't go out like that. People are mean, and I got comments on the street on my makeup. On the spot I was hurt, but then I though how shitty must those people's lives be to go out of their way to hurt a stranger's feelings? Acne doesn't define a person, it goes away, it happens, you can't always control it.
People who have acne tend to age slower. I mean skin wise and otherwise. It doesn't make if fun because I've been there. I had acne until I was 30 then it went away. Then with aging I got Rosacea which I thought was kind of cruel joke. I guess it was related to hormone fluctuations just like in the teen years.
Some women look great with or without makeup, though often great in different ways. In spite of this, every girl I've ever gone out with (most looked pretty good even without) would seemingly lose all self confidence if they didn't have their makeup on. One in particular was still regularly hit on by guys (and even a woman) when not wearing any makeup but there was no convincing her that she wasn't hideous without it. Sometimes I thought it was funny, but eventually I started to find it kind of petty.
To put this into perspective, the woman looked A LOT like this picture of Gal Gadot but with green eyes and freckles. Unfortunately she has since gone elsewhere with her life and put on quite a few pounds, and that's something a beautiful face probably won't offset in the eyes of a discerning man.
I'm just SO F'N GLAD I am not a chick. You have to constantly worry about your looks because guys care a lot more about a girl's looks than the other way around. So much work and so much you have to know to get it right. I don't know how the heck they do it! I am clueless when it comes to women's makeup and clothes. It's a big mystery to me.
I have to be honest though. A girl who tries to look her best is attractive to me. Not someone who is obsessed with it, but when a girl is interested in all the details about her looks and wants to be attractive. I find that very appealing. But seriously, I think women have a PhD in makeup and clothes. Even their underwear is so complicated my Ivy League degree is insufficient to help understand it! Brain surgery ain't nothin' compared to understanding bras, panties and lingerie! I am in awe!

I feel much more comfortable because I can rub my eyes and my skin usually feels better (I have very sensitive skin and rarely wear makeup, so I'm not really used to it). Also, eye makeup tends to smudge or smear as the day goes on, which I hate.
I usually feel like I'm just as pretty without it. I have days where I feel like I look like crap, and days where I feel beautiful, but I feel like I'm still just as pretty without it as I am with it, but the makeup draws attention to my best features when I do wear it. I only like to wear just enough to make those features stand out a bit more, but not too much.
I did wear it daily for awhile my senior year of high school (and my eye makeup was pretty heavy; I thought it looked "sexy" and "badass", but it really just made me look like a raccoon, lol), and although my skin wasn't bad then, it isn't as dry, red, or irritable now. I was also beginning to feel ugly without makeup when I got used to myself wearing it, but I also had very low self esteem back then.
I only wear make up maybe once or twice a month but I haven't been working so I can get away with it. The idea of wearing make up daily again really isn't appealing.
Years ago I sold make up for Revlon at one of their outlet chain stores Revlon used to own. I sold make up without wearing make up or very little make up which used to bug my Regional manager but she didn't push it other than can you wear more make up because my sales were always high.
When I was young I wouldn't go out without make up because I had acne and I was insecure.
I probably would appear more attractive with make up but the trade off is that most of the time I look younger without makeup. No makeup to fall into creases due to aging.
I don't wear a lot of makeup, maybe just a little eyeliner and lashes, some lip gloss, but mostly I go natural. I like feeling natural and not all hussied up.
I usually wear foundation/concealer, along with mascara and eyebrow pencil when I am out in public or with people. Iāve gotten used to it, so if Iām out and not wearing makeup, I tend to feel self-conscious and ānakedā in a way
I feel weird without colored chap stick bc I feel like my cheekbones and eyes over shadow my lips. but otherwise I donāt wear any.
Also I love mauve taupe and mocha lavender as colors do I will wear that in lipstick, To go with clothing but I wonāt feel naked without. But I do need some color on my Lips, or I feel uneven 🤷āāļø🙄 lol
I think I look good without makeup. I only wear eye makeup, nothing else. so eyeshadow, mascara and eyeliner. It makes my eyes look less tired and makes me look more beautiful, in my opinion. But I still think I look good with and without makeup.
I don't wear makeup (I have oily skin so makeup just makes me break out more), but overall I feel... good about myself.
Mind you, I get breakouts and blemishes that get on my nerves, but at least people know I'm natural so what you see is what you get from me.
I wear very minimal makeup when I go to work. If I have to grocery shop or anything I also wear just a little mascara or something. I really donāt wear a lot of makeup unless itās Halloween or Iām out to a concert or something like that.
I feel I look a little better with a bit of makeup on, but I am comfortable without it because I look basically the same.
I donāt wear makeup, and yes at times I feel insecure because I have acne... but Iām glad that others see me as who I am and not someone who wears a different face in public / home. And I donāt know why this is such of importance of me but I feel that itās important that my boyfriend sees me for who I am. Plus, makeup is hard to put on, and Iād simply be too lazy to take it off.
I'd feel insecure not wearing makeup if I'm going out with a group of friends or going out on a special occasion, so I do my full-on process.
But when I'm just going out with my best friend or going to the supermarket I just throw on some sun screen and lipstick.
Overall, I care about how I look but I don't wear it if there's no need to, since I have bad skin.
I have no problems going out without makeup... My makeup is very minimal... I have clear skin so i dont see why i would need foundation, i mostly just do my brows, cuz they are too light for my liking,... When im not wearing any make-up i feel likei kinda look like a young boy since I have very short hair and an udershave, i don't mind it, so i put on makeup only when i want to look/feel extra feminine, which is not often
The latest trend in the USA is to heavily criticize makeup as the stuff like lip injections, Brazilian butt lift, eyebrow tattoos, permanent lip makeup, eyelash extensions etc are becoming quite popular. Funny thing is that it's Americans who are heard barking against makeup while it's a well-known fact all over the world that they lead the world in both plastic surgeries and high-end makeup. They think women of other countries also go from a 2 to a 9 just like they do but it's so false. Many people fail to realize that some women are simply not masculine enough to say "I hate makeup". They love to play with colours and have fun with makeup.
If the whole world actually hated makeup then it was going to disappear while many new products are coming nowadays.
I think the American people have really overdone it in the past few decades that now they're getting bored of it.
Iām okay with it, Iām married I stay at home as a wife and mother currently so I donāt do makeup unless my husband and I want to go out then I do make up.
I feel good either way (: Some days I wear makeup, sometimes I don't. I don't overdue it though, just simple foundation when I do put it on & do my eyebrows/eyeshadow
I haven't worn makeup for years. My skin feels like its breathing.
It feels comfortable. Cheap, less time consuming. However, everyone can see my imperfections and that makes me feel ugly at times.
@Bman4907 thanks :-)
I hardly ever use makeup as I can't wait to take it off because my face feels like it can't breathe with makeup lol
but I def feel prettier and more confident with makeup on
I don't feel comfortable wearing without any makeup on when I go out to bar, club, work, see friends, etc.
I don't mean too much makeup.. just light makeup
The only times when I don't wear makeup is at home.
I hate not wearing makeup. Iām just naturally ugly. For all the men who love natural women, I canāt be with them because I look so damn ugly without it. People ask me if Iām sick when I donāt have makeup on, I get picked on by women on the street I heat them say nasty comments like āI would never go outside if I looked like that.ā
So for me makeup is a mask I hide behind. I love how I look with it on because itās how I wished I looked naturally.
I never wear make upā exceptions include funerals, big events (prom, weddings, parties, occasionally going out). I actually loved make up in elementary and middle school (I was wearing foundation in 4th grade). Once I recognized it was a product of materialism/patriarchy, I quit it. Didnāt want to be like my mom, and it just made me feel bad about myself. I suppose itās easier to avoid it when I look good without it (young + clear skin). I donāt intend to ever wear it though.
I donāt wear makeup except on special occasions, so if Iām bare-faced, it feels normal.
Well... I donāt wear makeup so... I feel fine I guess
I still feel confident because Iām not trying to impress anyone. At first it took me a little while to get used to it, I felt naked. But now, I Like that I can be me. I think I only wore makeup twice this year.
I feel my most beautiful. I wish more women would embrace their natural beauty. It's becoming more and more of a taboo now as makeup is becoming more popular
I agree. I don't like wearing make up much and I feel more comfortable without it on.
I think more women should go without makeup, leads to a dependency of it, "i can't leave without my mask." Too much makes the woman look like a bad paint job at a clown college.
I feel normal! When I wear make up I feel cuter but I been too busy and I havenāt had time to even shave my legs
Simple
I feel comfortable without makeup. I only wear makeup maybe 1-2 times a week, if I feel like it and have time in the morning before going out. I definitely don't think I "need" makeup, I just think it's fun to play around with every now and then.
I think I look best with minimal makeup. Unless I'm have a really bad skin day (acne, dark undereye, puffy) I like how I look without makeup. Sometimes I wish I was good at it because it's really fun but I'm fine without it.
If I don't have any makeup on I feel awful like dirty and and ugly but I don't wear it a lot cos I mess with my eyelashes a lot and it messes up my makeup
Im a person whoās never worn anything but lipgloss so Iām fine without it. This might sound crazy but i actually feel awkward with any on...
@User2324
See my (MHGuy) opinion to this questionā¦
Do you like no makeup, minimal makeup or no makeup on a girl? ā
Yeah i do it all the time.
I never wear makeup to the gym.
I look hot with or without it.
Without makeup is very comfortable in my opinion. I prefer with out makeup and and appreciate natural beauty. Sometimes makeup makes you horrible lol
Omg I'm glad there are men who think like this because I'm hopeless at wearing make-up and at times feel like I'm not with the crowd if I don't wear it! It's reassuring to know there are no pressure from men for girls to wear it!
Thanks āŗ I'm focusing more on having a clearer smooth face and keeping it youthful looking š
I'm not much of a makeup person at all so I feel okay without makeup but when I start to age I'm not sure if I will still feel the same but I think all of us women should embrace and make the best of our natural beauty.
A lot better. Your skin has to be able to breathe, and it feels so much fresher when you go a couple of days or so without make up.
It does the world of good.
I feel less attractive but I have gotten used to my face without it. I like feeling natural but I wish my face looked the way I look with makeup all the time!
To be honest I feel amazing I rock my own skin, I used to have makeup addiction it lowered my confidence also I find that wearing no makeup is more attractive :))
I'm girl , and i hate doing makeup ,🤗🤗, but some girl look better with or without makeupā¤🧡, and i look more better without makeup😂😂
Gal looks like that because she became a mom. Without all the stress and aging associated with that, she'd still look flawless regardless of makeup one way or the other.
Honestly I feel more comfortable without make up on. I wear make up once in a while. I don't like to wear it all the time. I mostly wear eye liner, mascara or sometimes eyeshadow.
I prefer the no makeup look. And in many cases what ever issue you might have with your skin it will often not help with makeup. Also makeup over time is aging the skin.
I like subtle makeup. Some eyeliner and perhaps a lip stain. I am not a fan of colorful or heavy stuff. Also lipstick is evil, you were this stuff that gets on everything needs reapplied every half hour and then!!! No kissing wtf...
Less confident. I'm one of those girls that doesn't leave the house without at least a bit of makeup on first.
Me without makeup: Just me.
Me with makeup: Wtf who is this?
I never wear makeup unless it's mandatory.
My eyebrows and lashes are really light so I prefer to have those filled in and have mascara on always. Other than that, I like going without makeup.
I feel less pretty but not like ugly lol, also feels a heck lot more comfortable, I don't wear makeup often cause I'm too lazy for that
i don't be wearing make up at all, not because i don't like it because it looks amazing, but i'm wayyyyyy too lazy for it,
I don't wear makeup at general and I feel good
I chose to not put make-up I just caring with my skin and the main reason for my choice that I don't want to get used to it so if a day I don't put my make up I will lose my confidence
I can't properly answer this as I have to wear makeup as part of my current job. I need to be presentable all the time.
So I do feel a bit uncomfortable without makeup as I got used to it so much :)
Like itās not Halloween and Iām not 5 years old anymore...
Makup is cheap compared to how hard the man has to work to have a fat enough wallet for you to date him
You realise that women are capable of making their own money, right?
It beggars belief that some people can't grasp that.
I feel great. Like I donāt have a bunch of shmutz all over my face. I only wear coverup to cover dark circles under my eyes during the day.
I generally don't, except for lipstick. Prefer the all natural look.
I feel comfortable. I feel like me. Just as beautiful as with make up.
I feel more uncomfortable when wearing makeup than without.
I feel ok not wearing makeup the very rare times I have wore makeup I have felt self conscious and I am constantly thinking about whether the make up looks good or if it looks cakey or blotchy
I wear makeup like once a year. I feel very comfortable without it.
Insecure but only because I have acne. Otherwise I'd feel fine.
I'm not a fan of makeup and I rarely use it. I prefer more natural look because that's the real me.
I would feel extremely comfortable.. Any excuse to not wear it!
I don't judge girls cuz I'm a softie and treat girls too good but if guys wore very faint concealer on eye area and on small blemishes they would look like different people too
