Would You Think $100.00 is A Lot For a Pair of Shoes?

You can spend how much you want on shoes. I don't care and nobody's entitled to judge when it's your own money you're spending.
For me, that'd be pretty expensive. I do find that the more expensive ones tend to be higher quality and last longer though, so it might be worth investing in if I have extra money left over or something.
Depends on how often you use them, and what you use them for. If they sit in your closet 364 days a year, yeah that’s a lot of money. If you use them 5 days a week and they hold up for a few years, you got a damn good deal on them.
You pay for what you get. I used to buy the cheap shoes during school and until recently even all my clothes were cheap.
They don't last, they're not good quality.
Shoes are used daily, perfect thing to invest in a good pair, or a few good pairs.
If they are really comfortable, then no. If it's just because they are "cute", then yes. Unless I have money to spare, I will not buy something just because it looks good or cool.

Men’s athletic shoes that are comfortable when you put them up against something like a marathon and last several years (maybe 5 years) usually cost $80-120. Sometimes companies run yearly By One Get One Free sales on those sorts of shoes so you can pick them up for $40-60. The cheap shit ones that normally cost like $30-50 usually feel like you are walking on concrete right from the beginning if you are use to wearing comfortable shoes and they start talking (falling apart) after about 8 months. Above the $100ish price point for athletic shoes and you’re usually just getting into fashion statements or you’re looking at some medical based shoes for diabetics.
When it comes to men’s dress shoes $100 kind of the bottom of what is passable as a dress shoe. They’ll usually last for about a year with normal use. Around $200 and you get a little better quality that will last a few years. You can also generally get them resoled for around $50 and save money for years so long as you take care of them. Beyond that and you’re just going for flaunting status.
They seem to charge far less for women’s shoes than men’s shoes unless they’re some stupid luxury brand so I’m not sure what a good price for women’s shoe would be. Maybe 80% of the price I laid out for men’s shoes.
No, I recently bought a 75£ pair of boots from Clark’s (deal if you ask me) why? Well it’s winter, you need some good boots to keep your feet warm, with good grip and protection.
I’ve had Clark’s shoes for years, they aren’t overpriced or cheap they’re a good inbetween they will last years, and never look too worn.
If you cut open 5£ school shoes or work shoes you will actually see cardboard I mean that’s sick. How can people allow their children’s growing feet in them shoes? That get saturated, and will bend and make their feet sore.
I’m not a prude but I believe in children having comfy shoes at least until the doors developed and not only that a sturdy pair of 60£+ pair of shoes will last you years, my brogues still look brand new.
In the long run you’re spending a lot less money, with my dad he replaced my shoes every 2 weeks while I was in school until he gave up and started getting me proper shoes like my mother did and he realised “oh! Don’t have to replace them!” Lol.
Its not about brands, it’s about what’s comfiest and best for your feet and they will last long.
Medium range stores like Clark’s aren’t a silly brand like Gucci or Prada. They have that price tag because the support for the foot, and longevity of the shoes deserve that price tag.
If you’re 18+ and your feet are done developing, when you buy shoes from Clark’s you basically have them for the rest of your life.
You pay for what you get ESPECIALLY with shoes.
Yeah. I've spent more than that - I've spent £100 on shoes before.
It has to be something I really, really like.
Otherwise I'm usually reluctant to spend much more than £60.
My most recent expensive purchase was a pair of YRU black Nightcalls. They're rad. Totally worth it.
If you're in a lot of credit card debt then you have no business paying a $100 shoe, unless you don't mind going further into debt. Anyway, anyone who says you can do whatever you want not knowing your financial situation does not have your best interest at heart. If you're able to pay it with your current income then it's completely reasonable because you can actually afford it. On my end, I refuse to pay $100 for a pair of shoes irregardless of how much I make. I'll wait until a good deal comes around. I would only spend less than $50 dollars on a pair of shoes. No matter what kind of shoes it is and irregardless of how much I have. I recently bought myself an $80 rebook shoes for the gym at only $34. And my boyfriend a $100 under armor shoes for $42.
Yes, they're shoes thats 100 dollars that can go twords your bills relieving one of adults stresses we take many things for granted because we believe that it will always be there but what if the means to make that money was no longer there and just think all you had to go threw to receive that 100 dollars for a pair of shoes you may only wear a couple of times
When I was younger, I would spend that much on shoes. Lol. I would get me a nice pair of Adidas or Nike for that price. However, now that I am older, I wouldn't pay that much for a pair of shoes. Clothes are becoming more expensive these days, albeit; however, I would only pay $100 for shoes, if I was buying 2 pairs at $50 each. $50 is my price range. I also have a pair of $15 sneakers... but I learned that the cheaper the sneakers, the cheaper the quality... as in, they get holes in them fairly quickly.
I’ll spend a pretty penny on running/work shoes with good arch support. Other than that, it’s DSW’s back rack clearance section where $100 shoes are marked down to $10 just because it had it with its glory of fame for a few months, lol
Yes, it's quite a lot for shoes. I'm really not that picky with my shoes, if they feel good, look good, are durable, and get the job done at a price that doesn't kill my wallet, I'm good to go. I have a pair of fancy shoes that I wear for special occasions, I don't remember how much they were though, but they're not super premium.
For the heels in the example pic (they're ugly btw)... I would definitely not pay $100. However, $100 is about mid range pricing for shoes... at least where I'm from (Canadian). The cheapest shoes you can get around here brand new from stores are about $30.
Its okay, i usually pay between 70-110 Bucks for my Vans.
I think its more about the type or the quality of shoes, eg. i can walk in my shoes from dusk till dawn without my feet hurting, and i think this makes them worth it paying the price.
Are you talking about those shoes? Cause the platform style is a bit past now. I wouldn't spend it on these. They will look very dated at some point (now or soon.) But in general, if they are nice quality and you'll get a lot of use out of them, no not at all, go ahead if you can afford it.
If you want them an can afford them it's not a lot. Yes, you can buy shoes for more money or less but what's considered expensive is all relative
Not in the grand scheme of things. by the way, Those are super cute
Not just a lot - but ridiculous. Especially if you're part of the majority group of females, meaning it isn't even your money.
Definitely not part of that group.
In that case? If it's your money and you want these shoes? You deserve them! And you shouldn't care what others think of their price. Enjoy.
For me, yes. I don't typically buy very expensive clothes.
It is a lot, but it's ok to pay that if they're worth the price and if you'll wear them often.
Yes.. but if u can wear it all year around and have a good salary then do it
This shoes, yes
But in depends on the shoes... some need more work and material... this pair is almost 200 bucks
That is reasonable as long as you aren't buying $100 shoes every week. $400 a month on shoes would be really excessive.
Not really, especially when you’re talking about a high quality pair of boots.
Do they make you happy? Do you really love the shoes? If yes then it was a good buy!
I think $100.00 is a good price , i have New Balance Extra Wide EEE
and i paid like $93.00 for them , so yeah got do what you need do.
I have a nice smart pair they were £89 ($110) on the ticket and are great... I would consider spending more on designer footwear but my feet are too big unless I go custom
Depends on use value. If I'll wear them daily then it's worth it.
Depends on the shoes. Something needed for a profession, like steel toe boots, or ballet shoes, $100 is pretty standard. But for everyday shoes? $100 is a lot in my opinion
I think I am going to get downvoted but I have paid 500 and 600 dollars for shoes.
I think if you got the money then you are free to do as you please.
Just don't get broke or in debt because of luxury.
Personally, I think more than $25 is too much for any article of clothing. I could give two shits if it is Gucci or Versace or from Walmart. Does i fit? Does it look good? If yes then WTH does it matter if you got it out of bargain bin?
Those are designer brands, there are much more upscale clothing outlets that make quality shoes hence the price tag, Gucci and such is just a luxury thing.
I’d rather spend 65£ on a pair of shoes that I’ll have for years then spend 20£ on shoes that have cardboard in them (Rip them apart you’ll see) no sole and will hurt my feet, and the development of my children’s feet, shoes that I’ll need to replace and replace.
Compared to a good sturdy shoe, my most current pair I’ve had since year 7 which is 4 years (I’m 16) and they still look brand new, I have no doubt they will be following me into adulthood.
If they aren't going to be used regularly, yes.
Both my running shoes and my work boots cost more than that.
It all depends on the value of the money where u are. Where I'm from we spend 100-500 on 1 pair of shoe.
I think every one should either have 1 expensive outfit, or fewer but nicer clothes.
I don’t think so...
Considering some are worth thousands lmao
It's just above the budget line, according to me. Yes, 100 bucks is a high price
Not nowadays. Many athletic shoes can range into $170.
Yes. That's way too much. I'd not pay over $40 for a pair.
Those are really cute. I hope they are just as comfortable. Are those the ones you paid 100$ for? What brand and model are they?
No, that's a pretty common price tag for things like winter boots, or a pair of good running shoes.
Duh tf there's much more better & important things then damn shoes
depends on the shoes. I would certainly pay more than $100 to get a pair of Alden ankle boots, same ones Harrison Ford was wearing in the Indiana Jones movies.
Well, yes but if they are of high quality and the brand is known for it, then it's worth the money.
Considering vans and converses are 55 dollars to 90 nikes can get up to hundreds of dollars if you like them buy em all
$100 is not a lot to pay for quality shoes.
No it's not really. A pair of Red Wing work boots will set you back like $300.
Yes I do. I paid $39 on sale for my last pair of $80 sneakers. That was bad enough!
Fuck yeah! I don't like spending £20 on them!
Depends will you were them a lot do they go with more then one color
I don't think I've paid less than $100 for a pair of shoes since the 20th century.
A pair of little better running shoes from asics costs more.
No, not expensive. Good shoes are important. I'd say past 250$ it really becomes a luxury.
Not at all because there are shoes that cost over 1,000 dollars
That's just a whole pathetic waste
I do. I like lugz so I’ve never paid that much for shoes since I stopped wearing jordans
My shoes average around 25 but i know 100 is still cheap compared to others
I like really high heels on women... it looks sexy as hell... I love a woman's legs... beautiful
Spend the money it your woman.. big deal if you have spend it on her she is worth it and much more.. its only money... she is the best right!!!
No. I don't know if any item of clothing I own is worth that much.
No, actually 100$ is cheap. For the most of my shoes I've spend more than that.
Depends. Could be worth it 🥰
It depends if it's a pair of shoes to wear a lot or not. Everyday shoes can cost 200$ and it's fine (if the quality meets the price however)
Not at all. Shoes are one of those items that you get what you paid for.
Yep that's a bill or food for a month
New? Not at all. Those are cute.
$100 is common price for good shoes.
