Wearing Wellies to school Do you think it looks silly?

My mum bought me a new pair of winter boots in November. I came home on Tuesday saying my feet were wet. I looked and realised the soles were flapping off the Boots! However, given it is now a week til Christmas my mum says I will get a new pair of Boots then. Today she sent me to school in my wellies.
So I am probably need to wear them again tomorrow and Friday as our weather is to be really bad, but people were giving me funny looks.

Wellies are good for keeping your feet dry in wet weather. I wear them in bad weather, and so do plenty of other people.

Just take normal school shoes in ya bag and change at school, at feet will be dry.

Otherwise outdoor stores and camping or fishing places sell rubber over boots to go over your shoes and only thin if don't like big boots
