They can be really attractive on the right person. I don't like when they're pulled super tight though. Tight ponytails can cause traction alopecia, something that guys are already more likely to have than girls. So no super tight man buns. If it's too short to fit in a loose one, don't pull it back. But loose ones can look really nice.
I tried to put my hair in a man bun once. My school has a dance every year where people dress in drag. Most of my female friends friends try to put their hair up in a hat or something. But mine is really long so they all thought that it would be hilarious to put in a man bun. It was such a mess though. I'm not sure why I found it so much more difficult than a regular bun. But I did. Maybe I'm just not used to it, or maybe it was the curls. I don't know.
My point is, man buns can be hot. Also, if he has long hair, and he knows how to do a man bun and could maybe help me with mine, we could make a pretty cute couple at the drag dance.
I do like a bit more of a polished look I'm afraid. However I can admit that some guys do pull them off. I think they look great if you've got quite unruly curls like in this photo. If you have Draco Malfoy's platinum blonde greasy thin hair then don't bother.
It's okay, but most importantly if the guy has long hair he should always pay mind to keeping it clean and fresh. It doesn't really matter how he styles it, as long as he doesn't let it become this gross thing on his head that he forgets is there. I'm not sure why it's call a man bun tho.
I dislike that a lot. My husband let his hait grow and I hated to see him with a man bun.
Besides, he would lose my hair ties, the bastard.
He looks just fine with the man bun, I just don't like long hair in men.
Besides, we both suffer hair loss. The freaking house is always full of hairs.
I prefer his hair short.
I must try it!!!
I actually read something about it just yesterday. I will do that. Thanks ;)
I see it as an indicator as to the type of man they are; weak willed, trendy, comformist, unable to think for themselves, probably have zero moral courage or ability to go against what is "peer approved" for their time and place. They almost definitely would have been Nazis had they lived in Germany in the 30s.
That's one of the stupidest things I've ever read on here.
@msfuntastic Its true though. It means they are highly susceptible to social pressure and manipulation
You don't know what you're talking about. Where is the social pressure for them to do so? The impression I get is that some guys do it, despite social pressure not to. It's much more rebellious, than it is conforming. Conforming is getting a clean, short haircut like most guys are pressured by their friends and family to do ("cut your hair and get a man's haircut will you?"). I seriously doubt their friends and family are pressuring them to wear a bun.
They don't look good on everyone but if a guy can, and he looks hot;) mmm irresistible.
To be honest it's certainly not one of my most favourite looks.
I swear there is nothing better than a dude that has a glorious soft mane 🤤 not only proves he can take good care of himself (or at least his hair), but it's much more fun to play with.
Meh, don’t really care much about them but not every guy can pull them off as well as others.
I love them. They don't make a man look more or less masculine in my opinion.
True
Sorry, can't focus on the question with Momoa in my face.
Anything that need the word MAN before to differentiate it, is not a good sign
