Do you consider them inappropriate or indecent to wear in public?

On paper, it's not sexual or indecent in and of itself, because the midriff isn't really an erogenous zone. However, wearing them is always, without exception, overt sexual signaling and done with promiscuous intentions, because there is no other reason to wear them.

Exposing 3 inches of your midriff is not going to make a difference in keeping cool during the summer, and even if it did, us men don't really have crop tops available to us, and we do just fine. You'll survive.

If you wear a crop top, you're doing it to show off your body. Period. I'm not saying showing off your body is the worst thing in the world (though I'm personally not interested in women that do), but it just irks me when people won't admit their intentions. Be honest about it.

All depends on the time, place, and the body of the woman wearing it. You probably shouldn't be wearing a crop top to class in winter if you're on the fluffy side. A slim, toned tummy can look great in a crop top during a summer pool party though.

Depends on the age. for example, ill occasionally see grade 8's (13-14) years olds in crop tops, because in my highschool there isn't any dressing restriction. Thats one of the circumstances that I would definetly say yes lol. I think it also depends on the type of setting your wearing them in. If your wearing a crop top when going for a hike, or going to the beach with friends its okay, if not perfectly normal, but in circumstances where for example your per say going out for dinner with family, or going to the doctor, or going to a important meeting or something, I would consider it inappropriate to wear a crop top.

It depends on the style, for me.
If it's elegant and clearly meant to be fashion and refined, it's appropriate.
If it's an ugly vulgar girl who is clearly trying to wear it to appear in some ways attractive and trasgressive forcely just to desperately gain success points, then it's... Meh, on the line of being not appropriate anymore.

you know there classy ones. sexy ones and plain ones. ones for after the gym, etc

i only find inappropriate if your fat. no offense. but it tacky to see a pouch just... sitting there.

Crop tops can be very classy. I think showing bellybutton outside of the beach is trashy, but if you’re Pairing it with a high waisted jean or shirt, that’s nice. I like the photos you use as examples.

I have no problem with them, especially with the trend towards high-waisted bottoms. It's hard to make an argument that midriff is inappropriate.

It depends on where you are going and the dress code. Places like the beach, a fair, a concert, a festival, a park store etc it is fine. Places like court, a wedding or somewhere formal then it's inappropriate. In geneeal I find them to be sexy.
