Honestly, with the correct shapes and fabrics, you can make the prudish lengths very nice looking. For example, a tight pencil skirt that fits well on the butt and cuts just below the knee is sexier than a much shorter ruffley skirt. And then a floor length silk skirt with a slit to mid thigh is nicer again... so I think it's better to look at the overall image than just length. A personal rule I have for myself is to only do one at a time. For example to a party, I could wear a super super short tight minidress, but it would have long sleeves and no cleavage, or I could wear a dress that completely covers my legs, but I'd have bare arms, a low back and neckline.

No such thing as a prude or old fashioned. Just people wanting to judge. There really is no rules to it really. Just people's perception of YOU. Not always what you are wearing. If little girls can wear long skirts and dresses, why does it change for girls and women past puberty? Hint: it's about sexualizatio of women. Nothi g to do with what your wearing. It's who you will attract sexually to have sex with you. If your not showing your sexually avaliable or wanted, then your inappropriate. I had enough people judge me no matter what I wear. I just tell people to not only just try to dress comfortable, but be aware of your surroundings, and use common sense.
Micro and mini are too short.
Prostitute level stuff. We would have serious marriage problem if wife wanted to wear.
All others are fine.
Floor length is more of a formal, prom type of look... a black tie dress situation.
Just depends, but, for trashy, lets just say, if when you bend over, we can see most of what you're wearing underneath, or lots of skin, it's probably too short

Length isn’t the sole determinant because even a long skirt can be revealing if it has a slit or really tight cut. I think a skirt at basically any length can be fashionable and tasteful, but at more than two inches shorter than the micro it gets trashy.
Well it depends... what is the skirt being worn with or what on occasion is it being worn... when u have those two down is when you can determine whether or not its too "prudish" or "attention seeking" as you put it
I like micro, mini, knee length, below knee and midi. Ankle length and flooe length becomes too heavy for me. I don't have a problem with any of the styles. micro can look trashy depending on the style of the skirt, the rest of the outfit and please wear cycle shorts/dance shorts inside so a string doesn't show if you bend over.
I'd personally say that once it covers the knees it starts to fall into the old-fashioned realm. Anything that goes well below the knees is prudish. I'd say anything mid-thigh or above would go from stylish to "wants some attention."
I love skirts so I have to answer this question! So, out of that whole list of skirts, I actually think that ONLY the mini length is good. All the longer ones are too prudish and the micro is too short for everyday wear.
There is no wrong length. It's walking with grace but letting the skirt naturally shimmy as you walk. Wearing a dress tends to bring on a strut or glide with most women without thinking.
mini and knee-length are nice. anything longer is for women 50 +. micro is short af. i would not feel comfortable in that shit because i'd be paranoid by what may happen if the wind blows too hard.
I don't know. Some people consider me a prude. I wear mid thigh skirts to floor length. Just wear what you like and feel comfortable in. I'm not comfortable in mini skirts but I'll wear short shorts but not booty shorts.
If you're tripping over the skirt as you walk, it's prudish; if you have to pull it down or place your hands between your legs when you sit, it's too short.
It totally depends on the occasion but I have turned my head for all of them... I do not like dating girls that wear micro skirts if I'm honest.
I don't think a long skirt is prudish. I love maxi skirts. Too short is when you risk showing your panties at the slightest movement (common sense) so I think it's okay when the skirt is mid-thigh length.
Every dress has somebody who can make it look good long, short or on the bedroom floor they all look good to me
It depends on the skirt and the event. But to me the most awkward length is the "below the knee" . Like it just screams middle aged woman!
Too short - when it constantly needs adjusting.
Don't think there's actually too long but you need to show some boobage to reduce the conservativeness.I only feel comfortable wearing dresses and skirts that are below the knee. Anything above that, I feel like I'm showing to much.
No such thing. Wear what you want and two middle fingers to anyone who tries to demean you.
In the right occasion even a micro skirt is alright. The most important thing is that you wear what you want and feel comfortable in 👍
Anything below knee comes across as "prudish", and any length where I can see portions of your ass is too slutty or attention-seeking. So any higher than mid-thigh.
Usually wear knee length for everyday wear. I'll wear a micro to go out or for a home date.
I'd say anything from mini to maxi looks normal enough to wear around in public. The micro is kinda "asking for it" as they say.
