I sometimes think that the reason why women like Gisele bundchen are set like a beauty standards, is simply because gay men control the fashion industry. The women they label as attractive are tall, have almost no curves, and they also make it look like if you don’t have colored eyes ( especially blue) , you can’t be pretty, while I see many men not caring about that.
Is it because these powerful gay men want to brainwash straight men into liking women that look like twinks, and to make straight women feeling insecure for not having a thigh gap and blue eyes?

You seem to be under the mistaken impression that models are meant to look maximally attractive.
they’re not. They’re meant to sell clothes. They’re thin because cameras tend to add weight, and because the designer generally wants the freedom to highlight curves or not. They’re tall because it looks slimmer in a photo, where without height context we assume they’re normal height and slimmer. They tend to look fairly good though they even bias towards facial structures that work well under the lighting conditions of a runway show. It would be more accurate to say they are intended to be reasonably attractive walking coat hangers then anything else. Lots (not all) men might prefer Kim K’s body, but as a fashion designer working with models like that, everything about your design has to be based around handling or highlighting the curves. With a skinny tall model you have more freedom.
They’re not meant to be men’s ideal. They exist primarily to sell clothing to women, or in the world of haute couture, to sell an image to women that they can monetize via perfume and accessories.
Not really no. I think whatever is scarce or hard to obtain tends to become most desired after in that particular country. Whether it makes logically sense that anorexia is unheatlhy or not, or models in the 60's and 70's smoked in ads a lot doesn't seem to matter for any generation. In Europe in the 1700's when abundance of food may be harder to obtain for many, fat girls were seen as more attractive in some countries because it meant they had plentiful access to resources. Today that is almost flipped because it is so hard to avoid being heavy that now the opposite is glamorized for those who are about to do so. Decades down the road it will probably change again to some other form of beauty standard.
The fashion industry seems to set their model standards by what 16 year old boys look like!! REAL WOMEN HAVE CURVES!! And they should!! Not these bony scarecrows in fashion shows!! They are nothing like REAL women, and so surprising, that the clothes they model, and sizes they wear, are not realistic!!

@jamesgoldman I think you misunderstood. MY point was that the models, in modern fashion, have bodies that are very much like 16 year old boys, but without the penis! FLAT chested, NO HIPS or Bottom!! :( :(

i believe not, no... but i do believe that standards were set by jealous and those who had superiority complexes who can't understand why someone would like someone else that isn't them... so what better way of forcing people who are governed by the words of others than to overlook those who don't conform to what society says, is beautiful...
I reject the notion someone can "set" the standards. I like what I like. I see someone... I feel strongly attracted, mildly attracted, somewhat indifferent, they are slightly unattractive or strongly unattractive.

No. Media in general sets the beauty standard for women. When you say blue eyes or hazel eyes what you really are saying is girls with the least amount of melanin. There definitely is melanin dislike in media. Girls with less melanin are depicted as beautiful over the more melanated girls. But height and curves I think are more about the clothes, just speaking from my own thinking no sources.

So why do men deny that they’re extremely shallow and picky?
All fashion designers are tutti-fruitie-homosexual and feminism is a homosexual movement bent on transexualizing women and men. Straight women and men are in the liberal crosshairs for extinction.
I cannot say I have ever considered that specific motive, but it does seem to have some merits. I do not find anything attractive about thigh gaps, thin women, etc. so you might be on to something.
