Do you guys think wearing glasses make you look very mean and nerdy? If yes, Should I continue to wear them or go for contact lenses?

It depends on the person. I know most guys on here are raving on how cute, sexy, hot, etc... women look in glasses, but I've worn glasses for years and do you think guys say that about me? NO. Haha.
I look like a geek or nerd, which isn't bad but I honestly cannot tell you the last time someone told me glasses made me look nice.

It depends on how YOU as a person look- glasses are an accessory. Meaning if you're an attractive or nice looking individual, of course you can pull off glasses, or nearly any look. This concept goes for practically anything, including clothing and hairstyles.

I wear glasses myself, but only for long distance viewing (don't need them to read, for example). I would never get contact lenses, because the thought of having something in my eyes all the time is horrifying. And besides, there's nothing wrong with "looking nerdy".

I switched from smaller dark rimmed glasses to lighter reddish glasses with a wider frame to "open up" my face so to speak. The right set of frames should accentuate the natural contours and features of your face. So if the frames stand out in a way that they're hiding your face/eyes, then they could be perceived as "mean" in the sense they're a barrier between you and the person you're facing. A good frame is one that's like a natural extension of your face and especially your eyes. Hence why I got frames in a sort of burnt orange/red colour, as the colour contrast with my brown hair and brown eyes has more "pop" rather than brown eyes hiding behind smaller, thicker, black frames.

it's not the glasses making you look mean, it's the resting position of your mouth and the way you stare.

The glasses actually distract from that, making you seem more approachable (with them you look sad rather than angry).

I know a lot of women hate hearing this for some reason, but if you want to seem approachable, then smile when looking at a camera or person, it has a huge impact on perception.
