Do you think it's rude to post a favoritism about Miss Universe?

Our last Miss universe who won the title of Miss universe 2017 posted a post that her favorite gowns are Thailand, Indonesia, Peru, Vietnam but she didn't say our own country and now people in my country are bashing her for not supporting our current Miss Universe who is competing in USA. She said people are entitled to their opinion Is she rude or people in my country are just sensitive?

So... people are insulted that she prefers the fashions of other cultures to her own? That seems kind of silly to get upset over. Especially if it's just "I prefer this other thing", rather than "the local version of this thing sucks".
