What's it mean when a guy asks a girl if he's cute?

I've had this happen several times. They'll say they're "just asking, no reason," but I can't help but wonder if maybe it's a way to indirectly ask if *I* think he's cute.

Could be an indirect way of asking if *you* think he's cute, yeah. Or maybe it's just that he values your opinion and wants to know if he's cute. But if he says "no reason", then it's probably the first - that he wants to know if *you* think he's cute. Otherwise he'd probably say "just wondering", not just "no reason". If that makes sense lol. But you can't be sure. Don't worry much about it. It's a small thing. You can look for other signs that he likes you.
