Why are Indian women stereotyped as ugly?

Its not so much ugly as I think the heavy reliance on religion societally standards just intimidates a lot of other cultures. And the fact that a lot of the middle east and western asia have a reputation for consistent in breeding among cousins rubs a lot of other ethnicities and cultures the wrong way. Add in the fact that kind of relationships has been shown in basic gene research to result in a lot of unwanted mutations and leaves too many permutations up in the air. That other ethnicities don't want to bother with. As a result even without knowing an Indian person whether its male or female I'd probably hesitate even if they were drop dead beautiful to want offspring. As a result this carries over to how Indian women are seen in general.

And a larger issue is the way how parenting is portrayed I really has ruined for a lot of Indian young adults societal images with how they are perceived with all the forced arranged marriages. And the archaic way of using offspring as bargaining chips rather than people. I guess what I'm leading up to is that Indian cultures and society has intentionally like split itself from other cultures in a way that has perverted the way how other perceive beauty. Its like even more unclear whether or not its okay to compliment a Indian woman or would it be perceived as being creepy. As a result many other ethnicities just avoid the topic entirely. And by extension avoid Indian people.

If all the text is too much to read I'll shorten it. Basically Indian culture and society has essentially satellite itself in a manner other cultures find it off putting and just weird. And so instead of acknowledging it, many other ethnicities just avoid it out of fear of being offensive.

It's not a stereotype it's just an opinion people form for the POC that's it.

But Indians are everywhere and are quite adjusting so if any other race found these girls as intresting and girls that have had higher standards and not adjusting then they would go with other ethnicity.

Now be it any country if a person chooses to be you and adjust then you are exotic to them which makes you feel special.

In similar ways out of jealousy and other things people try to spread some shit and if sp read longer then it becomes common thing to expect it's not only with Indian girls but all around world.

It's all about mindsets earlier most girls didn't do make up as much as it's hyped now they are just tainting their skin but at night you remove your make up and you see the person in the mirror you feel inferior people don't understand how that fakeness affects them so the affected ones try to bring others down and it's all same in every ethinicity.

Most people cannot afford to take care of themselves india has large populous you can find every type people living in past present and future and that canot be changed now at least for now

Indian women are beautiful! I think that stereotype comes from the older women. Unless they’re wealthy, they typically do not age well.

But to be honest, I’ve never met an unattractive Indian girl. They have beautiful features; facial, skin, and hair to be specific.

The thing about stereotypes is that you need to look at who’s saying them, that will tell you a lot. If it’s someone in a different race or culture, then ethnocentrism is taking its course.

It’s just like white girl being dumb and Hispanic being poor…it’s the way you see it. If you don’t see it that way your problem goes away. Sure, some white girl are dumb but not all. Yes, most Hispanic are poor but it doesn’t mean some aren’t wealthy. To some people Indian women are ugly but to other are not. The American culture is scared of diff3rent.

All women are beautiful, until their not anymore. When they are spited, cheated on, deceived, lied too, disrespected, treated unfairly and improperly and probably some things I forgot, they can get ugly and hateful really fast. The thing about women is they come in all shapes, sizes, height, colors and I'm assuming their all different flavors. At least the ones I've tasted have been different. Beauty comes from the inside, not the outside, it doesn't come from different colors, it comes from 2 people that connect. Love and beauty can come from 2 people that have never met or knew each other for year and years. My love came from the latter. We were friends for years before that something sparked and developed into something we didn't know we had. I guess what I'm saying is don't limit yourself, you never know where your destiny will come from, maybe around the corner or maybe around the world.

Where is this happening? Detroit? In Detroit, everything and everyone turn ugly fast. Including the Indian women. It could be they just age rapidly. All that weird cooking, the four dozen feral children running around screaming at 3 AM when you need your rest so you can work at your internship the next day, the candels they leave in the doorframe for Pujas, with little regard for fire safety. And you're made out to be the bad guy, because you don't want your apartment burned down!

And then they try to lie and make you pay for carpet repairs that weren't in the contract, when they'd already rented the place to you on the pretense that the carpet would be replaced the minute you moved out regardless of condition, and you left it spotless anyway!

That can make you not only see the Indian women in that region as ugly, but the whole region in general! Not so much ugly in face, as just nigh- insufferable in character.

WTF? Whos ever said that? One of my best friends is a gorgeous gujarati girl. Charming, seductive, classy, smart... and holy shit that girl could cook. She was very weird with dating and relationships though... like she had deep feelings for me but she would hide them. I was crazy in love with her but things didn't work out. I think it relates closer to them being from a poor country and other countries generally having different health & beauty standards. I. e. the west is more obsessed with women being hairless, thin, well kept, showered every day. That's honestly not that common in other countries.

None consider Indian women ugly, people are not attracted towards color one must always note that people are attracted towards the features and fitness of a person, whether they're black, brown, or white it's always-on features.

The only issue with Indian women can be is demand & arrogance which can be the issue so one must have said them, however, it's not their fault either when there are like shiz ton of guys behind every girl, such as a normal behavior towards other people.

Because we don't have pale skin maybe lol. Beauty standards are set by white people during last century and they are they still continuing and according to them the paler the better.
Also we Indians, because of British colonization have also started favoring white skin. Its a sad truth but ourselves don't consider ourselves beautiful because we think we are not white enough.

I have never heard of that stereotype. I think perhaps a white viewpoint has a similar edge to it as in Indian culture, being that lighter skin is either prettier or more familiar. For white guys dark skinned girls are certainly an acquired taste. If you disregard the variance in skin tone, Indian girls are no less pretty on average than other foreign ethnicities.

I would think its partially because the western concept of style hasn't fully encroached into India's cultural fashion sense. Clothing isn't as sexualised or explicit just yet. This might be a reason why they're not considered attractive. But honestly speaking this might just be a good thing. I for one however find Indian women to be greatly attractive

They probably only seen those girls from Rajasthan and the far south, and they don't know that Indian girls come in all different shades and sizes. Or they seen the poor girls from the slums and villages who can't afford to take care of themselves.
