Does anyone have any remedies to share for treating constant breakouts?

My niece is really struggling with her skin as it is constantly breaking out. It is sadly impacting her life quite severely as she hides in her room, doesn’t want to be seen in the light and turns down opportunities to go out. She is miserable but won’t go and see a doctor as she is too embarrassed. Can anyone remember back to struggling with this same issue in their teenage years? Can you offer some advice, maybe some treatments, skin routines or any solution that may have worked for you or someone you know? She is 17 and this problem seems to be getting worse.

Ivory soap. It’s a non scented soap and it’s natural. I use it for my face. I’ll soak my face and scrub my face until I hear a squeak and then rinse. Do not buy into commercialized products. They do not work.

To your update: yes it’s the brand name. The last time I bought it from the grocery store, it was only like $2 a pack.

It's likely excess hormones. She will need to see a doctor and get contraceptive and regulator for it.

Tell her that if she doesn't deal with it now, then she'll deal with the pockmarked scars of those zits instead, later in life.

Lay off the products, most of them will just irritate the skin and make it worse. Have a word with your doctor, tell him what you've tried. Spots are caused by bacteria so antibiotics should help.

Try mixing olive oil, honey, and lemon juice and apply it on her face 3 times a week.

I had issues with soap causing problems as an adult. I have many allergies. I tried many and found something that worked for me. I use Charcoal Goats Milk soap.
