If you are religious, I highly recommend reading your religious text. Reading in general is a good remedy for anxiety.
What I have learned is diaphragmatic breathing helps IMMENSELY! Seriously, try it. It'll slow down your heart rate. Practicing it for about ten minutes will really help out.
Breathing exercises and meaningful mantras may help.
