I'm not so sure about men shaving. Grooming their pubes can make sense I guess, for obvious (oral) reasons, but shaving their bodies seems feminine.
Women, on the other hand, look much, much better without body hair. Hairy legs, underarms and groins, seem incongruous considering their naturally smooth faces, torsos and thighs. I prefer girly girls. I'm not into mustaches, crotch beards, hairy legs, underarms or butt cracks. Give me silky smooth. But hey, that's just me.
Some athletes, especially swimmers, shave body hair. For swimmers it produces less drag and for wrestlers it gives their opponents less of a grip. I'm sure there are others too.
Yes, but just as men think women look better without body hair, some girls think a guy looks better not looking like a Wookie too. Shaving is more of a modern thing. No one in the 50's shaved their body hair except maybe legs.
@Daniela1982. That's fine. I'm not judging. Although, I've heard a guy or two on GAG mention that they shave all their body hair just be attractive. On the other hand, some women like men with nicely patterned chest hair and various styles of facial hair. Each to their own.
I hate hair on women's legs and armpits. Im not into guys but; f i was I'd feel the same about armpit hair with them too. It traps sweat, stinks, and looks ugly.
Gross? That's quite a personal opinion, and calling it gross has some sort of... immature energy in it. People grow hair on the body, it's natural. And women are people, so they do too.
It's fair enough if it's not your thing, but calling it gross seems like a you-problem and maybe something you should look into if you think that. Maybe it's good to be exposed to it.

I just see how so often, women are shamed if they have body hair. They have to constantly be hairless and it's kind of sick. And the whole "eeewwww, hair," to me sounds like a kindergartener who says "eeew girl/boy bacteria".
As long as the person showers regularly it's not something noticeable honestly - and uses deo.

No, I don't see how natural hair should be offensive in anyway, it is not harmful nor unhygienic to keep it.. I think it is pretty sensitive to get offended or grossed out by seeing hair (I am not talking about a sex partner since you refer to celebrities, sexual preferences are often not very rational, but totally fair if you don't want to be intimate with people with certain features)
Well put. I know of women who shave and douche their private parts to 'clean' out their vulva which unknowingly cause a significant disruption in pH balance. It essentially makes a paradise for bad bacteria lmao.
I don't know different cultures different standards if you're talking about the woman in the picture no I don't I think she's gorgeous at one point years ago other than Europe French women didn't shave under their arms German women didn't shave their legs at least some it was a little strange going to bed with a hairy legged woman gross was never name either hung on it

It’s not offensive, but it’s straight up gross to me. Reason why stems from biology. Men have 7x more testosterone than women, and body hair is an attributed trait to high testosterone. Therefore unkept body-hair on women is masculine.
I shave my armpits okay because it sucks having hairy armpits. However I think some girls look better with hairy armpits but I like armpits cuz I'm weird so there you go
Body hair is natural or we would not have it. And “having to shave” is a is societal/Eurocentric standard of beauty. And not shaving it’s sort of a Resistance to a broken system of beauty standards

No, it's not; not to me. In the fact body hair is much more natural to females than the presence (and the sheer number!) of the tattoos on the woman in the picture.
They obviously prefer having some hair, what’s wrong with that? There isn’t exactly a rule out saying everyone has to shave and it’s disgusting not to.
