What do you think about Indian clothes?

I was invited to an event by a Sri-Lankan friend of mine and his family bought me an outfit similar to the one above. It was a tunic, pants, and scarf with red and gold patterns. I really enjoyed wearing it and all the Aunties at the event thought I looked wonderful.
They look good.
having lived on West Midlands in England, they are fairly common in the scheme of things.
been to a few weddings and other social events, also dated two Indian girls,
Its a fair mix around where I used to live.
Not my cup of tea, to be honest. I prefer modern clothes, they’re easier to wear. Saris look pretty though. My grandma wears them. I prefer dresses, t-shirts and hoodies.
They seem straight out of a fairytale
Thanks!

They look good and is something different
I mean there is a reason why modern clothes were made in the western world because were not much fans of stuff like this. Otherwise us england folk would still be wearing them awful corsets everywhere. We mostly like what we've adapted to in this era maybe that will change also maybe not.
But for now it's a safe bet unless you come a from a country that dress in the more older way's you are not gonna be a fan of such things. I am included in this.
They look nice. Although those in the example are more of a European and Indian hybrid. Doesn't take away from how great they look. A good way of mixing something more modern with tradition.
I like it a lot. Sometimes I'm not used to it and it looks strange or odd, and other times it looks beautiful. I have to get used to the jewelry though. There is a lot more than what I have had experience with. Plus it's a lot bigger
If it became more of a thing here in the US, I would die. It is some of the most beautiful clothing in the world.
They’re beautiful. I’ve always found Indian culture to be so gorgeous. I especially love Indian weddings when the wife gets the henna all up her arms and they hide the husbands name in it, it’s dope
I think they're really beautiful. The details and colors are vivid, I love it.
Really like em... im from Pakistan so there are many similar ones too here... you're an Indian?
Yes.
😊🤗
Flashy formal and at times a little bit pretentious.
Not my type but I don’t wanna be racist so i will just pass it.
Like the pic that you attached. But the ones shown in the harry potter and the goblet of fire what parvati and patma patel wore not so good...
Glamorous styles, my girlfriend's mom wear sexy attractive transparent saree with micro blouse.
I don't know, I've never seen it face to face, I've seen it online, I think I have to see it in real life, touch it, experience it in order to have a certain idea...
Gorgeous on the women. (I love exotic dresses)
Cool on the guys. (robes look comfortable)
They're cool.
The women's dresses are a bit extra, but it's all good.
I like it, especially the large feather headdress. I've been told I'm part Cherokee.
I'm talking about east Indian.
I like Saris to be honest. Those colors. Jewelry on the other hand.. lol wayyyy too much
