Dont you think that it shows too much of body?
What are your thoughts on indian dress?
Dont you think that it shows too much of body?
Sarees, inherently, are not a clothing designed for vulgarity. Saree is a traditional wear that is predominantly used to cover the whole body but still manage to look beautiful.
Below is a very generic saree draping style that most Indian women follow. If you notice, they cover the entire body of the women while making them look elegant.
But then evolution in anything is inevitable. The saree draping styles evolved mostly propelled by the fashion and movie industry. They sought glamour quotient and found innovative methods to make saree a glamourous wear for women.
Just like how normal T shirts were folded up in a knot to reveal belly and navel or some of the shirt buttons kept unbuttoned to show navel, sarees were also modified by their draping styles to reveal more. There were new designs in blouse that induced short-sleeve and sleeveless, low cut and other styles that complimented the saree.
The above pics would tell you how sarees and blouse got evolved to make it more glamourous. You will never find women like these in your daily neighbourhood. They are only in the movies and fashion industry and they exist only to titillate us for the time being because we, as audience, have created a greater demand and inclination towards glamour.
If you collect pics from Adult movies Offcourse they would be too much revealing 😂😂😂.
It actually depends on how you wear it, it can be used cover and reveal as well such a simple thing yet there are many styles from same Saree..
Earlier women used to wear sarees, like all the Tim's after their first period symbolising that they were Women.
It's like a dress, there are different types of cloth material and threads used to make it a casual saree, or a party wear, or Pooja wear {celebrations festival}, you cannot even imagine how many different Sarees are available like varieties..
Now i think mostly married women wear Saree and mostly on a occasion of party and Pooja {religious rituals}.
And sometimes on Ethnic days in corporate and colleges
Those are Indian clothes? You're kidding right? That's NOT how women wear clothes in real life. What the heck is that second picture?
Sari is a very modest garment. Remember, for generations women would not even show their faces to stranger men and they fully covered up with sari.
I'm not Indian, but I am Bangladeshi and have traveled to India. I wear sari for every occasion and no occasion, I love it and I wear it whenever I find an excuse, I'm even wearing it in my profile picture. Do I look like any of those pictures that you have shown? Here women hardly show any skin with sari at all. When I went to India I did see women exposing their back and midriff a bit more than we do here, but not to the extent to those photos, hell no.
JSYK Bollywood style is, well, Bollywood. It's not real life.
Let's just say there are differences and similarities. I pointed them out.
Except the first and the last pictures, all other pictures seem to be taken from some erotic movies lmao. Normal Indian women do not wear such revealing saris, they prefer modest ones.

These are just worn by actresses in movies not in real life !!
Basically they wear it coz it's an Indian tradition nd we typically start to wear it after 17 years... nd again the pics are of actresses from different movies..
Typical Indian saree 👇🏻👇🏻
They are the most beautiful, most feminine and most elegant attires on earth. ESPECIALLY sarees. Nothing can beat the grace and class that comes with wearing a saree. I love sarees! I need to extend my collection. I wish I could wear them everyday but I live in London and it is always FREEZING here.
One of the most beautiful things about their culture along with their dance style. I also like to see Kings United and Desi Hoppers dance
https://www.youtube.com/embed/quwY-1dsS0Qhttps://www.youtube.com/embed/0NBMGVuPH9sI feel like you chose some pictures where they show more body than I am used to seeing in the media (never been myself so no idea what the real picture is like)
But I love that they are colourful and have beautiful embroidering :D and you can get some that does not show the belly and cleavage if that is too much skin for you
For everyone's information, those are NOT your average sarees and are a lot more sexualized than normal. Women in India don't wear that in their daily lives unless they are housewives of some horny ass husbands.
Horny ass husband's lol ππππ€€ππ well not like that, but they do were sarees like covered, draping style could differ
Oh wow it reminds me in taking a voltage cruise to the Tropical getaway βΊ😄
That second picture 😂😂😂.
These are pictures of actresses and models.
Normally people don't show these much.
I don't really know if these clothes suits western women.
I've seen some pictures where white women wearing Indian traditional clothes and I didn't think that it suited them.
White women look BEAUTIFUL with saree, what are you talking about?
Sari comes in all kinds of fabrics, patterns, borders, lengths... On top of that there are various ways to drape sari. There is literally something for everyone out there. Even White, Black, Asian women look fantastic with saree if it suits them.
Maybe, but it's just what I often feel when I see pictures of white models in saree. Obviously you know more.
I often felt that saree suits more on a little tanned skin than a Caucasian's.
I once saw an Italian woman wearing an ordinary salwar, a little tighter version of it. She looked pathetic.
But I don't blame that entirely on her salwar
I don't really know what color would suit White women, but I have noticed that Chinese women look beautiful in pink sari because of their yellowish complexion. There's something for everyone out there.
And yeah salwar kameez can look pretty wack when the proportions aren't right.
Maybe simple plain colours would suit them, if they have a curvy body
Those are way too sexualized more than a normal saree. I like to wear saree with modesty. Like this one.
Love it. There are many kinds of Indian dresses. They're not just Indian, you have the same kind of dresses in the subcontinent. Formals and non formals. Which dress and what kind has a lot to do with the occasion.
The outfits are flattering and attractive but also uncomfortably revealing and sexual - so might not be appropriate for married males or young children to see.
I think of any of the dresses are really pretty. I donβt understand your comment about flesh. There is nothing wrong in wearing traditional clothing.
I love them but donβt understand why you put only thick women here. I think it looks much better on someone slimmer with smaller chest. This is too revealing for someone with that big chest.
Looks too slutty. I prefer more modest clothes that better reflect my chastity
I think Indians should stick with their feathers and stuff. Dresses are not for them.
I prefer modest clothing and I wouldn't feel comfortable in showing my skin that much if I wasn't fit.
I love them I think they are so flattering and the women look so sexy
looks nice and as for it showing too much, have you seen what western women wear?
I quite don't like them.
To an Indian these clothes may have a cultural appeal - to me it only looks silly.
It is nice but I dont know if It would look good on me
These aren't real Indian clothes. These are some kind of skimpy version that they don't actually wear
