How many of you have used a spray tan?

I looked into tanning beds and they are incredibly bad for skin so I wondered what people thought of spray tans? Nothing too ridiculous just a light tan.

The spray tan is a way to reinforce stereotypes of men going out in the sun being supposedly superior to pale-skinned women who read and tell the men how to do things like inventing the wheel and agriculture. Those who use it are reinforcing patriarchal norms which contribute to the oppression of women in society.

I don’t see the correlations in your opinion. You’re saying that because a man goes out into the sun he is superior to a woman who reads, and then tell men how to do things like invent the wheel and agriculture. That does not make sense. Further more saying that people who use spray tans are reinforcing the patriarchy is ridiculous. Maybe it would be more prudent to say that men telling women they shouldn’t read or go to school would be a better example of the patriarchy at work.

I never use tanning beds or tanning sprays. My tan is completely natural. I'm outdoors a lot and have gotten quite tan and I'm naturally pure platinum blonde with very bright very light blue eyes. It's kind of funny how even the blondest bluest eyes blondes can tan yet redheads are completely unable to tan without tanning beds and tanning sprays when their hair is darker and they tend to have darker eyes
