32C is small. The bust size is mine but the cup is small.
34 is loose for me.
32D and 34C are different bra sizes with the SAME CUP VOLUME.
The following article…
https://us.brastop.com/blogs/news/sister-sizes-explained
…says the following…
“Your sister size is another bra size that will fit you with the same cup volume. This is mostly used for adjusting sizes when the back band feels too small or too tight, but the cup is a perfect fit…
The general rule is that if you go up a band size, you need to go down a cup size. The opposite is also true – if you go down a band size, you need to go up a cup size. This ensures the cup size stays the same volume, and only the band size is adjusted.”
FYI - this second article …
https://blog.join-eby.com/article/sister-sizes/
…gives bra sizing advice…
“Bra band fits, but cups don’t:
If cups feel small, select the next larger cup size. If cups feel big, simply select a smaller cup size.
Cups fit, but the band doesn’t:
This one may be a bit tricky to remember at first, but when going up a band size, you will need to go down in cup size. When going down a band size, you need to go up in cup size.
Neither cups nor bands fit:
If both are too small, go up in cup size and band size. If both are too large, go down in both cup size and band size.”
A couple more things for you…

[Point #2 from the above article:]
“2. Make sure the band sits low and snug. “When you have a band back that is nice and low and not going to heaven, you know you have the right size,” says Clarke. The band (which is measured by the number in the bra size) is too big if the clasp is creeping up between your shoulder blades. You’ll know the back band is too small if the bra is tough to close and cutting into your skin. You should be able to fit your finger between your back and the strap with only about an inch of stretch.”
www.self.com/story/how-to-find-your-bra-size
“[The bra fitter] put my arms through and asked me to bend over and shake. I looked a little confused at first, but I did as I was told. This is Clarke’s technique for getting the breast tissue in the cups just right. Every fitter I’ve been to has a different strategy. Some like to swoop, others like to lift. Clarke was all about the bend and shake. She then clasped the bra on the loosest hook. She explained that you always want to fit a new bra on the third clasp. Then, slowly work your way to the middle and tightest hooks as the bra stretches out over time.”
(2) Take a look at the following GAG myTake, and the “abratthatfits calculator” that is mentioned inside it…
If you wear a bra, I urge you to read this myTake ↗

Note: Think about doing the measurements for the above calculator link to see what bra size it says you are. (The measurement instructions are included within the above link.)

Thanks for the MHO
Yes. The chest size just determines how large or small a woman's body is. The average woman has a 34 inch chest, and smaller sizes will be more petite women and larger sizes will be heavier or wider women. The "average" bust size is a 34C, so a 32D will be the same exact breast volume and size, but on a smaller, more petite woman. Because the woman is smaller, her 32D breasts may look relatively larger on her body. But they are the same exact size as a 34C. Likewise, a 36B is the same size as those other two as well, and will look even SMALLER on a larger, plus-sized woman.
So in short, yeah, a 32D and a 34C are the same exact breast volumes, but the 32D is just on a smaller woman, so will look relatively larger on her.
You explained it very well. Thanks.
no.
the number is the distance around so the bigger the number the wider your back is.
the letter is the actual boob size.
32D means the person has a small back and the boob itself is big
34 means the person has a wider back and medium size boob
if you have a 36 it's even wider back.
usually the fatter you are means your number will be bigger because you have a larger frame
Slim/thin small frame girls will have a smaller number
if you are fat and use a 32 or 34
you tent to have rolls on the back because the distance of the bra is smaller and fits you tight so your clothes makes you look with extra rolls at the back.
you can sometimes substitute with pushup bras because it comes with volume on the front
Cup size is cup size (A, B, C, etc.); the number is about the band that goes around you. Manufacturers don't always use the same exact measurements and even identical twins are sometimes not completely identical, so strange equivalencies can possibly occur, but, in general, 32D and 34C are different in cup size.

They aren't the same size. 32D is for someone with a 32 inch underbust measurement and 36 inch standing +/ leaning bust measurement, whereas 34C is for someone with a 34 inch underbust measurement and a 37 inch standing +/ leaning bust measurement. They do carry the same cup volume however, as they are sister sizes.
Well yes and no. Just a 32D and 34C are considered sister sizes because they will fit the same amount of breast. But they are of different proportions to the body size... so a 32D will seem bigger because the lady will have a smaller frame... and 34C will seem smaller because the lady will have a wider frame. So no they are not the same size, but are defiantly the same cup size proportionally to the body.
no. It's not. The band size is the number, so 32 D would be a 32 Inch band around (sort of.) And the cup size is D. The woman wearing 32D size bra would have smaller ribcage than the other woman 34 C is larger in band, but smaller in the cup size. However, many (not all) people who fit into one of these sizes also fit into the other, because they are considered sister sizes. So while they are similar because they're equally balanced, technically they are not the same size.
and you have quadtruple D's?
I think colleges offer a major in bra sizes
I cannot believe that after 10-11 years, I am seeing the question that actually was my first question on GAG which i asked because I have an issue how my wife had been misled to believe that they are the same so she always goes a cup size higher because she wants FULL coverage even though she is always covered. She does not wear low or deep necks and often has an extra layer of covering OVER her shirt as per our tradition. I am not saying I want to make her uncomfortable, but at least when we are the only 2 people under the circumstances, wear the proper size.
So, with all this logic of "sister sizes", does this mean 34D = 36C = 38B = 40A?
Nice !! Her correct size is 38C. I am getting her 22GG for Valentine's Day !!
So, with all this logic of "sister sizes", does this mean 34D = 36C = 38B = 40A?
Yes, that is right, but the 34 is a smaller woman than the plus-sized or overweight 40 woman, so the larger cup sizes "look" bigger on smaller women, but they're all the same exact volume of breast tissue (identical sizes).
They're the same cup size but obviously not band size...(Known as Sister Sizes).
Further to my comment, here is a link explaining the concept of Sister Sizes.

The 2nd link doesn't work.
@marish01
That's very strange indeed, I'll try once more!
https://upbra.com/sistersizes.htm
The number is kind of like the band size it's how many inches around front back and all the way around the letter c or d is the cup size how large the actual breast itself is - now being a guy and answering this question I pray to God I got it right otherwise some of you ladies might kill me for being both arrogant and ignorant
32 is the circumference below your breasts. the letter is the cup size, though. so 34 is wider below the breasts, and c is smaller than d.
I'll settle this once and for all: THEY ARE THE EXACT SAME SIZE. Every time I see one, I get JUST as horny as when I see the other!
That's that!!!
No the size is different because 32 is the band size and d is the cup size which shows the women has bigger breast and small waist and 34 shows that women has big band size and breast is smaller
Thanks but 8 didn't ask 👍
Yeah that's correct, if you go up in the back you wanna go down in the cup normally- not always but normally :)
Technically no but mostly yes. The cup size is the same and the rib straps are different size however with most bras having some adjustments on them in practice it usually covers generally the same sizes.
No 34 is loose for me
Its circumference is 5 cm longer than tgat of 32.
That will depend on the specific bras. Some manufacturers make no adjustments some offer a few and some offer a lot. Generally you want the smallest rib measurement that fits and then go with the appropriate cup. 32D for you.
All women who are not fat and still some that are should in off the shelf bras wear a 32.
Or 34 if they are big framed
They shouldn't be the same size, a D cup is supposed to be bigger than C, the numbers refer to the distance around your body
I wear a 34C demi bra but can also wear a 32C. I prefer to wear no bra.
For me I think that's a perfect size All the Above especially if they have lots of sensation
32 is the measurement around your chest... A B C D E is the size of the "cup" relative to the chest size... there is NO correlation... find a size that fits, chest and cup
You can able to figure out a perfect size by try and error method. Because size of the bra differs by brand!
They are not the same. A “C” cup is smaller than a “D” cup even though the band is bigger at 34 instead of 32.
I can check your size if you want. Both are good sizes, D is fuller.
All bras are made different. Sizes vary manufacture to manufacture.
I'd have to see in order to come up with a solution here lol
hehe... you said bra. :D and yes. glad you got some helpful answers on here.
32 D sounds good to me 😋
Good question. I have no idea.
Thanks guys. Both of your answers are helpful.
No 32D is slightly smaller.
No it's not the same size
Try different brands.
Wow 32D is so rare and yes it's the perfect size!
Actually a very common size
@softlyautumnal is that your size?
Nope it's not. I'm a bra fitter and 32D is not rare at all. Margot Robbie is roughly a 30DD/32D.
@softlyautumnal mine are bigger than hers
Well then you're probably not a 32D and I recommend measuring yourself with a reliable bra size calculator such as mybrasizecalculator. com or abrathatfits (or booborbust)
Nope, she's nowhere near a 34A or B, that would be a wider frame and smaller boobs. I am a bra fitter. 90% of women wear the wrong bra size because of misconceptions like DD = huge boobs. Margot is roughly a 30DD/32D or at the least, 30D/32C. She is not an A or B cup.
I don't know. Ask @mistixs.
I read that Russian women have the biggest
32 D's are bigguns
Did you ever get truly measured?
Almost the same but different
34c was a little big for me compared to 32d.
I've heard that's true.
Just walk without one
Nice 👍
Not the same size
32D definitely!
