Why are people so against tattoos and piercings?

I don't care what people do, but I don't find it attractive at all. I'm really into the natural beauty of a woman (her hair, good skin), so when I see a tattoo it just detracts from that. Piercings kind of the same thing. It's kind of like if someone doodled over a work of art. Maybe they're a good doodler but I want to admire the art underneath.

Technically. If you read the bible. It says you're not supposed to desecrate the human body. It by definition, is a sin.

However, of course, the bible also says you're not supposed to be in the same room as a woman when she's on her period. No idea why. that's just what it says

Belly button piercing is nice! A cute little stud in the nose is cute and tolerable too. But facial piercings and 10 in the ears, etc just looks tacky to me.
