My hair is damaged should I shave it?

So my hair is very damaged to the point a good bit of it is falling out and the split ends is out of control.
Should I just shave my head and let it all grow back in healthy and naturally?

If you want to, but that's a myth. Shaving has no effect on new growth and doesn't affect hair texture or density. You should see a dermatologist to tell you what to do to stop hair loss
If you want to, you can get a shorter haircut or some extensions and/or a wig to camouflage the hair loss, while you're waiting for your hair to grow back

Why is it damaged too much dying your hair? I guess you’ll have to get a G. I. Jane haircut then it’ll come back All brand new

Pretty much coloured my hair way to much. Is the G. I Jane cut basically shaved bald?

Pretty much but it grows back so fast look what happens in a week it turns into a crew cut

I ended up getting it shaved today. It's much colder than I expected but at least I don't have any bumps.
