Should men be encouraged to wear makeup like women are?

No, people should not encourage men to act a certain way or expect them to be feminine. I think people should just let people live their lives and mind their own business. In reality it is definitely weird for a guy to wear makeup, especially the type that is made to make someone look like a woman. However, even if a guy does wear makeup or dresses very feminine, so what? Instead of the modern trend of bashing the majority of men for being masculine to promote feminine behavior, it would be better for everyone if people stopped judging others and let them do their own thing. If a guy is very masculine, so what? There is nothing wrong with most guys having a masculine personality or appearance. If a guy looks or acts very feminine, so what? Guys looking or dressing like women might be unusual, but it isn't morally wrong and they have a right to live how they want. It would be way more beneficial to everyone if people didn't try to dictate how others look or behave (in terms of their personality traits). Just keep your judgmental opinions to yourselves and let people live their lives in peace. I'm a more masculine man that would never ever wear makeup or clothes designed for women, however I wouldn't say anything rude to another guy if they did. How someone else chooses to dress is not up to me and it is not my place to say anything about what they do. People have the right to make their own choices.
NO READ THE BIBLE AND THE BOOK OF ENOCH
1 Timothy 2:9-10 ESV
Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, but with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works
BOOK OF ENOCH CHAPTER 8
And Azâzêl the fallen angel taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals of the earth and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the EYELIDS, and all kinds of costly stones, and all colouring tinctures.

And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways

The bible also tells men not to trim the edges of their beards... hope you don't shave...

Sure. Anyone can do whatever they want as long as they don’t harm anyone else.
I, personally, am not a fan of men wearing makeup in general. Heck, even I don’t wear makeup unless I’m going out with my family. It’s not worth the hassle - prepping your face, and then taking it off before going to bed. Besides, I break out whenever I use makeup. I wouldn’t date a guy who wears makeup, and I wouldn’t really encourage anyone to do anything.. it’s their personal choice. I’m not going to stop anyone from doing whatever they like either
People be like: men were masculine in the past but now they are emasculated because they wear make-up or feminine stuff
Men in the past:

I dont judge anyone. I dont care about it. It is just amusing to think that men ain't wear feminine stuff in the past
I am still shocked that crop tops for were a thing in the past. Lol imagine your grandpas wearing this stuffy
Dont worry majority of women prefere masculine looking men and majority of men prefere feminine men. So i dont understand why people are scared of men wearing make up etc since majority of men dont wear make up
Omg **majority of men prefere feminine women**lool
"I don't understand why anybody would pay full price for half a shirt. Has to be leaded gasoline." I dont like it too
No this is not what i meant. I correct an error
I like masculine looking guys like many women but i dont judge guys who wear feminine stuff
BTS?
No. You mean the k-pop group?

A guy recently posted on GAG about how he cares for his cuticles and polishes his nails. I said all I do is trim my nails and keep them clean. I said I don't need to have delicate-looking fingers. He said that women in their 20s and 30s prefer feminine men.
I doubt if that is true outside of certain sub-cultures.
I know that the new "lib" culture is really pushing alt-sexual on younger generations, beginning in kindergarten. They think masculinity is toxic and want to eliminate it. The fashion industry is marketing dresses and feminine apparel to men. The makeup industry would love to expand its market to men.
But only the gayest of gay, pussy ass, transvestite and transexual men want to be girly. And I doubt if many heterosexual women are interested in delicate men.
Those photos made me throw up in my mouth. Those guys aren't men.
No definitely not XD
Number one it horrendous looking
Number two I think they are significantly less likely to get a female partner (maybe even a male partner) and it just looks absolutely creepy
Number three the work isn't worth the pay off
Number four if I had a son and some adult told my son to wear makeup I'd scream at them until their ears bleed and never let them into my home again (if my son decides to become a cross dresser or a trans woman he's gonna do it because he wants to and not because some creepy guy in drag implanted the idea in his head)
Over all
I personally hate the idea and detest imposing it
my school was certainly not supportive of certain choices...

Maybe if men wore makeup the "ugly" ones would stop using their face as an excuse for not getting sex.
But I'd rather everyone just stop gendering makeup at all. Stop expecting women to wear it, stop expecting men not to wear it. Then people who want to can, and people who don't want to can not, and that could just be that without any big to-do. That would be nice.
honestly I hate men wearing make up, it reminds me of BTS, honestly why do women like men like that.
And indeed, for some reason, many men today have become feminine, to be honest, many people used to teach their children to be masculine when they were little, maybe like teaching martial art or something.
To be honest, nowadays I see that there are less and less men who like or participate in learning martial art, in the past, martial art was like a mandatory thing for men.
Being a guy is hard enough, wearing makeup will make things even more difficult. He'll have a huge target on his back and if he's straight, the majority of women wouldn't give him a chance. If I ever have a son, I will not be encouraging him to wear makeup/women's clothing.
no one encourages or forces woman to wear makeup, they wear it cos they choose to... not once have i seen someone tell a girl "put makeup on"
they do it cos they wanna look pretty, meanwhile we dont care about our looks, so why should we?
Not really my type, I wouldn’t date someone who does wear makeup.
However, if they want to, they can. I’m not gonna encourage it, but I’m not gonna stop anyone from doing it.
I have zero interest. I wish women weren't under such pressure to wear makeup. They almost always wear too much. And, usually look more attractive without any.
I'm all for ''wear what you want'' and I'm okay with guys wearing makeup. I love how they are breaking stereotypes.
Sooo, you wouldn't mind if you go to a guys house for the first time, an he pulls out a 12" huge dildo, while instructs you to ram him hard with it?
Sounds, like a highly specific inquery, i know😅. However would you be all for it? 🤔
@cookiecrusher What does your question has to do with guys wearing makeup?
"I love how they are breaking stereotypes"
I was just wondering how far does that extends to 😅
Jokingly of course. Feel free to block my ass if needed. I understand🥲
Maybe you and your boyfriend can share make up then.
@Agagagagaga Riled up much? 😂
I just said if guys want to wear makeup, let them. Who are we to judge someone because of it?
No, I’m not riled up at all. I just think your statement was ridiculous.
Who are we to judge? It’s called having standards.
@Agagagagaga I think the world had bigger problems than guys who wear makeup.
Yes, the girls has a lot of problems. So let’s just ignore, nay, encourage freaks to put on makeup by “breaking stereotypes.”
What a joke of a fucking country.
Daddy chill! 😗
@cookiecrusher I'm gonna cry from laughing so hard 🤣🤣
No. Makeup is gross. If I wanted to paint my skin I would be green. Then I could blend in with the trees and the aliens.
Good grief NO!!!
In fact, I would prefer it instead if women never wore make up either.. It takes my g/f forever to apply that muck.
Men (and women) should be encouraged to be themselves; to have their own ideas.
If one likes to look like a parrot - why not; I don't need to like it myself, though.
Women are becoming masculine and abandoning their femininity and many women want men to be the feminine ones instead. Crazy world we're in...
It’s always been the same.
@Wraith_Cemetery You have a comically shallow definition of masculinity.
I don't know if encouraged is the right word but men should feel free to wear make-up if they want to... I personally wouldn't because it's not my thing but I don't think there's anything wrong if a guy does it.
Everyone is free to do however they feel fit. However, I wouldn’t date a guy who wears makeup.
Well there was the New Romantics, also historically guys have worn make up for centuries.
Its choice not encouragement
Look Both genders been wearing make-up before the Egyptians and the great pyramids.
So if someone pulls the Bible quotes, or make-up is just for girls. They can just suck a cows ass.
All those makeup styles in the photos look very over-exaggerated. IF a guy was to ever wear any makeup, it should at least look natural.
I like the Goth look on men but not these colorful ones.
However, they can do whatever they want. It's just less attractive for me personally.
in my opinion no. I wouldn't date a guy who wears makeup.
Can't be an ugly man and wear eyeliner. That's for sure.
Imagine a balding bearded fat guy wearing eye liner.
Encouraged? No.
Shamed for doing it? No.
Everyone should be encouraged to be themselves.
I think that know that we're accepting that they can use nailpolish, they can wear makeup too
Sure why not. It's literally just pigment. People who make a big deal out of it should wake up. Look at the ancient Egyptians hella hot with their eyeliners 🔥
I think if a man wants to wear makeup than they should. Screw what others think seriously
Let people do what they want and mind your business.
Only if they want to legalise killing them as an affront to fashion and public decency
If it helps them get the partners they want then they'll do it. For the vast, vast, VAST majority of men wearing makeup would repel the partners they want, so most don't do it.
No guys want to look like that and girls don't like that. It's only for a Hollywood gay club or the like. Do you like it since you're asking the question?
No, if we had to go one way or the other, I would want women to wear less makeup, not men wear more (IMHO)
Whatever they want, but personally I think it looks horrible.
no they shouldn't men should stop trying ot be women. this is mental...
Negative, I don't want the added expense or the hassle.
Fuck no. Men have shit to do. Even men who are clowns don't have the time women have to preen and applying social signalling paint.
No
But it shouldn't be shamed if they choose to wear it
Thats why is takes a full brain to come to terms with how much of a farce this all is. You haven't lived to see this world turned into a narcissistic shit show it is now. Men are merely redundant economic units, so who gives a fuck if they have feelings. Men are expendable. You haven't lived 30 plus years as a man, so parroting pop media platitudes doesn't give you the authority. You haven't seen society like I have.
would you miss them?
no, he's right, most men dont get emotionally about such petty shit like a girl does, only the girly soy boys do that
most guys are not very emotional, its a known fact, were more rational thinkers
@GagsUgliestMember I dont think he's talking about petty shit
@HeartFullOfGlue On a grand Socioeconomic scale, the lives of men are by and large petty.
@HeartFullOfGlue That would be correct.
It really threw me off more then it should have, damn.
@HeartFullOfGlue He butted in like a moron with out any idea of what context is.
No, weak men create weak times. Embrace Masculinity 👍
Masculinity isn't being threatened by a little concealer...
actually it looks like they don't have an issue with fragile masculinity... if you think that makeup is a determining factor in how masculine a person is... that's like thinking having a bigger penis makes you better at sex...
men are not going to do that. women are not as visually motivated as men so it's not beneficial
Nothing sexier than a man who takes care of himself and his appearance..
@Subarugirl easy to say. but the types of men women choose tells a different story. so you're wrong
Real masculine men dont wear make up. Only bitch boys do that
Only insecure boys are threatened by makeup... no one is going to think you are emasculated because you used concealer to cover up a pimple Chad...
@Subarugirl Men have shit to do and no time to waste on face paint.
@Subarugirl The emasculated, urban "man", you describe is barely a man.
It's not a push to destroy masculinity, its a push to get rid of the toxic masculinity the is plaguing out society. There is a huge difference between masculinity and toxic masculinity, they are not remotely the same thing.
Do you even know what toxic masculinity is?
@Subarugirl Basically any expression of Masculinity is considered Toxic.
@Ryfyle no... Toxic masculinity is defined as a set of attitudes and ways of behaving stereotypically associated with or expected of men, regarded as having a negative impact on men and on society as a whole.
Toxic masculinity includes aspects of "hegemonic masculinity" that are socially destructive, "such as misogyny, homophobia, greed, and violent domination".
Masculinity and toxic masculinity are not the same thing.
@Subarugirl This academic bullshit answer again? You would rather have the majority of servile eunuchs devoid of any masculinity.
@Ryfyle actually I would rather not have boys growing up taught that misogyny, homophobia, greed, violent domination, emotional suppression, sexism, and the justification of inappropriate behavior is what it takes to be a man.
If you are unable to make the distinction between real masculinity and toxic behavior and mentalities that are damaging to society as a whole you are a victim of toxic masculinity. All you have to do is look at the statistics. Why do you think that men are less likely to seek medical or mental heath help? Why do you think that men are two times more likely to die from suicide? Why do you think that men are less likely to be diagnosed with a mental illness? …...
You claim that it doesn't exist... yet it's right there in front of your face. All you have to do is open your eyes.
@Subarugirl
"Why do you think that men are less likely to seek medical or mental heath help? Why do you think that men are two times more likely to die from suicide? Why do you think that men are less likely to be diagnosed with a mental illness? …..."
No one gives a square fuck. Why should they? A great majority of men are just tax fodder waiting to die. At least let them die forgotten on their own terms.
I don't a lot girls would consider dating a guy that looks as feminine as them
That wouldn’t help them get laid.
We tried that; it was called "the 80's".
uh... no thanks, i'd rather not..
Noway and never would i even support it.
If they want they can do whatever they like
That’s a hard no from me.
in my opinion it should be just the opposite.
If they wanna attract gay men
This make up thing is getting OTT..
No way, never-never, uh-uh-uhhhhhh!
Fucking hell no !
Nope, just not massively discouraged.
Not fuckin' doin' it!!!
haha yeah, slap that shit on with a trowel.
this is for little fags
Hell no… real men don’t wear makeup
No and I don’t encourage women
I think if it suits you do it.
No, absolutely not.
Go fuck yourself.
