Nay for me, as someone who grew up with freckles I think its weird to suddenly want something a lot of us were made fun of for lol

No. I hate it. I grew up with freckles, and as you said, we got bullied for it. It’s not that serious, but there’s so many flaws in the trend… Especially when younger kids are seeing it.


I’m glad that it’s being “normalized,” however the fake freckle trend is just the idealized version of freckles. You know? It’s only on the nose and cheeks, placed very evenly and lightly. Real freckles are spread out, some are small and big, some are darker and lighter, some are on top of eachother, etc.


It just doesn’t look natural, and it gives off a poor representation of what freckles look like. That sounds stupid, I know, but hear me out. All these young kids today are so insecure about how they look because of all these beauty trends and social media models etc. Showing fake freckles that look “perfect” will make young kids believe that’s how freckles are supposed to look, so when they see real freckles, they think it’s ugly because they compare it…

Where do you get this idea that everyone wants them? People who had heavy freckling really wanted them. They thought it made them disfigured in a way. Plus the kids I knew like that also had red hair for the most part.

Where in my post did I say everyone? As someone who knows plenty of people who grew up with freckles, none of us enjoyed being made fun of for our natural feature.

Just a generalization. My guess is no one wants a ton of freckles. They can of course be covered somewhat by makeup but everyone has some kind of skin blemishes. Think of all the kids who have bad acne. Maybe those kids would prefer freckles to acne scars.

Well you got me on that one. I had no idea they had fake freckles. I guess it goes right along with everything else that is fake that is trending.

I like natural moderate freckled, blue eyes, and red hair. No on fake if noticeable
