I don't have much interest in that stuff, either, though I'm gaining a bit more interest as I age and have money to buy it and friends who genuinely enjoy those things and want to teach me about it.

Take interest in what you do enjoy.

It's good to have a certain baseline of pride in how you look, but that's more about, y'know, hygiene. Shower, brush your teeth, take care of your body & health. But don't worry about trends or things like that.

Care for yourself in the ways that help you feel your best. Appearances don't really need to matter.

You are young. Appearance is important not just as a woman, but because every little detail is a symbol of what you want to communicate.
If you are not interested in that stuff, that's ok, but know that you are communication "something" too by not wearing make up etc.

The bottom line is that you just have to be the girl that you are, not the girl that you think others want you to be. You get to decide if you want to be “girly”, “athletic”, “tomboyish”, “emo” or anything else. The important thing is for you to like being you, and forget about what others think!
