Are wigs weird? would you wear one?

So obviously there’s people who wear wigs because of cancer or other health problems.. but it kind of seems like there’s only two categories of people who are not looked at as weird for wearing wigs.
Which is black women or people with hair loss/cancer.

I guess drag queens have been more recently accepted into that category of acceptable wig wearing? 🤷‍♀️

But it just seems strange.. I’ve recently gotten interested in wigs because I could easily have straight hair or nice hair texture, or change my color without changing my actual hair. Also saves time in getting ready if your running late. However when I talk to friends about it they act like I’m a freak and that’s weird to wear a wig.. but why?

Wigs are not weird and everyone wears them. White people included. Dont let your friends dictate what you wanna wear based on their limited views on things.

Yeah we know how to lay our ish down and create the illusion that its our own so let our vids guide you to finding your first new fave lace wig and welcome to the club, bay-beeeeee!

Thanks I’ll have to do that! And yes so many black women are able to work with the wigs so well that it looks so real! They really inspire me.

They only look weird if it doesn't look close to your real hair and it isn't customized properly. Typically costume designers and wig stylists know how to make it look like your real hair. Unfortunately very few white stylists know how to make them look natural.

Personally i dont wear wigs because they don't look like my curly fro. At most i do like faux ponytails.

That’s truee.. that’s how I feel about wigs because I don’t want to wear something that’s shiny plastic looking but more similar to my own hair and natural looking. And my friends just found it weird that I’d buy one that’s so close to my hair color/texture.

I don’t want to offend anyone.. but I couldn’t agree more with you. But it seems like drag has become acceptable bc you see them being advertised to kids and all over billboards and stuff.
