Is this dress suitable for a first date?

Question

My friends said a dress for a first date is too much but this dress is pretty casual and I love the color, I think it'd look good on my pale skin (it does look wonderful on the model).

I also like the length. I read that midi is the best length choice, most of the time at least.

I'd also probably curl my hair for a romantic look, as for the makeup something light but maybe use a lipstick to add some color... pink usually goes with green. Kinda clueless about the shoes, I'm thinking sandals? White ones maybe... I'll probably avoid heels.

Or is this brown one better?
Unfortunately, the model is wearing terrible dad sneakers with it.

Kind of depends on where you are going, to the tractor pulls, dirt track, or a combine demolition derby, then no.
Otherwise it looks nice.
I know that sneakers are in, but I'm old and would rather see something more flattering.
Kind of reminds me of women in the city that have to do a lot of walking to get to work, and change shoes when they get there.
But again, I'm older.

Depends where the first date is and what it is.

2 hours horse riding,

camping out over night

going to an amusement park and rides etc,

also your date and what they are likely wearing.

Overall nice dress, suits most dates if casual.

I like it, but it needs to be about a foot shorter, and lose the sneakers and do some nice shoes, they don't need to be super sexy, but the sneaker look's gotta go.

Honestly mint on pale skin probably wouldn't look too good. It looks good on the model because she has darker skin I would go for brown variation.
