Is it weird to wear cheeky or thong bikinis around your family?

Hey everyone? I was wondering ya’alls opinion. I have worn cheeky and thong bikini bottoms for a long time. I’m an adult and it’s my business. I have always been careful to not wear them around my fam tho.

I was at the beach last weekend with some friends and the topic of them came up. Several of my friends said I was being overly prudish not wearing them around family. We also observed lots of girls younger than us with their families wearing cheeky/thong bottoms.

what do you all think? Is it weird to wear them around family or is it something I shouldn’t care about?

It's your life and you can do what you want. However, I personally would never wear a thong bikini around my family. Walking around in a thong in front of my parents, brother, 2 sisters, 2 daughters, etc. would be insanely embarrassing.

My boyfriend and I made a couple of weekend trips to the beach last year, have made one more this year, and are doing another one in a week. I always wear a thong bikini when I'm on a trip with just him. So I'm not opposed to wearing one (In fact, I love wearing thong bikinis on beach weekends with him). It's just that wearing one in front of my family is a totally different situation then wearing one when it's just my boyfriend and me.

if you like wearing cheeky bottoms then you should have no problem wearing them around your family. But if they look at your bottom don't be surprised because people wear them to be seen. Isn't it better if your family looks at your bottom than some perv on the beach anyway?

I guess it’s just imbedded in my mind to keep it away from them. I had to sneak them when I was younger. Never shook the thought as an adult. It’s not like they would be checking me out, just don’t want to shock them with a here’s her ass moment…. Lol

I think do what is comfortable. I think everyone should wear what they want, but I do get the being more modest around family thing. I swam on a team and family has seen me in speedos, so I’m comfortable wearing them around family. I don’t think I would have been otherwise. For me it’s just getting over the initial fear of what they might think

If you normally wear them I don't see why you should not wear them around family. If you're fine with strangers seeing you wear them why would it matter for family? If you're concerned about them being sexually provocative then you shouldn't wear them where any children are, whether family or not.

I don't see why it would be weird. I do it all the time. In fact I don't own any bikini except for thong ones. My family has never found it strange or at least they've never said anything...
