I know it’s kind of just one of those things that if you are in to it you are and if you are not then you just are not.

Have any of you gotten or would get your tongue pierced?

I mean I like piercings in general… I think my favorite is actually the bellybutton…

and the corner cartilage in your ear…

but what do you all think?

Guys what do you all tend to like to see? Do any of you like piercings too?

I had my tongue pierced about 4 years ago? It didn't hurt. I was super nervous for nothing!

BUT healing was a bitch. I ended up getting super sick. I had sores in my mouth and tongue, (virus that flared up from the stress of the piercing apparently) and I couldn't eat or drink ANYTHING for like a month without excruciating pain. The doctor wanted me to take the ring out and let it heal but I refused. I waited it out and everything is good now lol

Getting sick isn't the norm. I'm just fucked up haha

No that is the dumbest place to pierce, all the germs you have in the mouth and a open wound, that can easily get infected and reopened if it actually heals. You also have more places for germs to grow and food to stick, so worse breath will come with it.

I went with a friend to go get her tongue pierced.

She had the piercing done and then within a day she decided that she no longer wanted it. It was a nuisance for her: took a lot of adjusting to, made it difficult for her to eat and she figured it "wasn't her"

So she took it out.

You definitely need to do a lot of research into any piercing your considering before you get it. If It fits your style and the "aesthetic" your going for, go for it. But I personally wouldn't!

I’ve had my tongue pierced. Worst piercing I ever got. Extremely painful because your tongue has a lot of nerves in it, and it was hard to eat for the first 2 weeks. I took it out after a while, was starting to damage my teeth and just wasn’t worth it.

No, If you have your tongue pierced then you have a hole in your tongue for each piercing for life, as the hole will never close, and they will act as a collection points from particles of food which will then start to rot. If you want that then go ahead.

No I would never and I don’t find it at all attractive on others. It seems very insanity with not much of a purpose. Some say good during oral sex? Well what does that say about you in public settings or first impressions?

No and it is a bad idea. Your tounge is a part of your immune system. That hole never heals. You can easily die from an infection getting in your tounge. Happens all of the time.
