My high school had a dress code that I’d really test the limits of sometimes. It was fashionable to wear a hockey jersey over a hoodie at the time, so I’d wear that, but one of the rules at school was you had to have on a collar of some sort. I think they wanted a collared polo or button-down shirt, but turtlenecks were also allowed (turtlenecks were embarrassing to be seen in though, they were decidedly OUT of style), so my way around it was to cut the neck off of a turtleneck, and just wear that around my neck at school, and I could just take it off over my head when I left campus rather than have to strip off three layers every time. Then I could go home on the subway without looking like a huge dork lmfao.
Hit send by accident, but yeah…we had a Dean Of Discipline who walked around the halls looking for kids in violation (no collar, shirt untucked, etc), and he tried to give me shit about the outfit, even though I was technically in bounds.
Yes I have got insulted by a bunch of girls because of what I was wearing. They said some rude words to me. I tried to be low profile but my boyfriend was mad and answered them. It escalated a little more when my boyfriend asked them to stop and apologise. I begged him to calm down and let it go because I was afraid it could escalate to fighting. But before he could do something, one of the girl quickly kneed him where it hurts and asked him to acknowledge I was slutty dressed or something like that I really freaked out so I did and made my boyfriend did. And fortunately they went away, because people were starting to look at us
We had to dress professional for one of our presentations. I wore a cute ass vest, black shirt, black dress shorts, stockings, and booties. My teacher said "Tt.. just because you have a vest.. doesn't make it professional" That was eye opening for me, lmao.
I don't wear much clothes in the winter. I had to come in for a flight meeting on my day off. I remember my flight commander said she was whop me with a switch 😅

Once in middle school (we had to wear uniform) I almost got in trouble for wearing a collarless white shirt, but they gave me a collared shirt instead.
I got in trouble many times at home with my folks because I wore weird clothing. My mum didn’t even like the T-shirt I wore as a headscarf, even though she wears kerchiefs sometimes.
Nope. My mom just gets annoyed if I always wear the same outfit. She's like "people are gonna recognize you because you always wear that same thing." Not my fault my wardrobe is filled with clothes I wouldn't dare go out in.

I know people who did. Depends on where though. At a church or school some people wear way to skimpy outfits. There was one girl who would switch out her pants for booty shorts during lunch break. Then switch back before going home so the parents wouldn’t say anything.

Yes, when I was in high school there was a dress code. Pants with patch pockets were not allowed. I wore a pair of corduroy Levis that had patch pockets. I spent the afternoon sitting in the vice principal's office.
