When I was in my teens, my aunty told me that ths red lipstick I was wearing made me look like a prostitute.
Safe to say, I haven't worn it since.

I really like French style makeup which is bold red lipstick paired with neutral color on the eyes and face.

If you like red lipstick then you should wear it rather than listen to what people have to say. It isn't equated with prostitutes for me, at all. I consider overly revealing clothing a prostitute thing.
