Should I shave or keep the beard, that's more like facial hair at this point before I start my new job working with children that have austim?

Starting a new job on Monday and I have some facial hair growing I understand ladies like facial hair but I'm worried that my employer won't appreciate it. I'm trying to look older, I have a relatively skinny face, and want to look older, not younger... what should I do?
