Well if we're talking personal preferences here, it seems like there was something that happened in probably the 2010's where styles went kind of nuts.
Like I think of 90's and early 2000's girls styles as being a bit more "girl next door" and casual. Simple, comfortable tops. Relatively fit jeans but not excessively tight (though I girls despised low-cut jeans, which is certainly reasonable). Also I think they still had pockets at the time.
But then it's like out of nowhere everything suddenly went, like, "Snooki/Kardashian" I guess you could say? It suddenly became a bit thing to chop off your eyebrows and sharpie new ones on. Make your lips enormous. Emphasize having huge boobs and a huge curvy butt stuffed into leggings and "boots wid da fur", and an entire makeup style that basically intends to make you look like sculpted plastic.
Like I understood it as an art style, but not as a norm. It seems like a lot of effort to make yourself look THAT fake.
The big boobs/butt fascination is apparently tied to economic outlook, so I guess it makes sense following the 2008 financial crisis. The over-plucked artificial look probably relates to IG and its filters, since apparently that was/is a big thing, of girls actually getting cosmetic surgery so they could look like the IG-filter version of themselves.
A lot of guys seem to like it too, but a lot of guys like everything. The difference is which guys we put on top and call "correct".
But yeah, me personally, it's not my thing. I'd say I'm probably more attracted to many men than I am to this style. I guess I'll be one of those old guys who yearns for "the good ol days". But perhaps the 90's/60's will come back around.

I think there are three general standards a girl can go for.
Respectable. Nothing that can be criticized. Little flesh shown; discrete cleavage at most. Occasionally zany if the girl is.
Sexy. Sort skirts, tight tops or singlet tops, plunging cleavage.
Sensual. Not so much flesh but a good chance of it as in the top in the pic and in general flowing tops/skirts. I'd include highly femme dressing in this category.
Sexy is just a matter of revealing as much as possible. After 60 years of short skirts they really aren't that sexy anymore. Don't know why girls think they are still sexy.
At a club I saw a girl in a lap lap - just beaded strings fore and aft. It was sexy but more it was gross. Clearly no panties. Convenient for sex in the toilet doubtless - just move the strings aside.
I certainly react far more to sensual. A chance to see more than is intended is always a good thing - I like the top in the pic for the potential. To me sensual clothing reveals the way a girl's body moves and that makes me think thoughts more than a lap lap will.
I must say happy days in Melbourne Aust now. Finally warm enough for girls to forgo bras and wear tops light enough to give nipple impressions. Hurray!
I'm going to have to say Birkenstocks. They were popular among the obese old ladies in the 80s.
I was a kid and I recall one old lady (who knows, she was probably 50 or 60 😂) with short white hair and a mumu. She was sitting and on her gnarled crusty feet were those ugly Birkenstocks. 🤢
I know some of you ladies absolutely love those shoes and I'm sorry, but I'm still traumatized 40 years later when I see those.
I don’t like the raw muscle and bone female look, a lot of blond celebrities like Jewel and Candace Swanepoel have attempted it but I think it makes a girl look impersonal and desensitized in an aggressive and boastful way.

Being dirty, trashy, unhygienic, and unshaven, and excusing it by saying "beauty standards are just a tool of oppression from the patriarchy." No, you're just lazy and dirty and Adulting is too hard for you. So many women are like this, though..

I absolutely LOVE a great fitting corset and love the looks of it...
however, the ones that go to an extreme to pretty much deform the waist line, I do find those all kinds of disturbing and so wrong that I will not even post a picture of it... lol In the 1960s women had dressed made out of paper
This is not for anyone, this is for influencers and and paid models or someone that work in fitness, celebs and so on. I have been to Monaco beaches and saw things people wear that no one else wear while they are getting paid or their rich sugar daddy brought for them to dance on their yacht party wearing gold and diamonds with Chanelle and CD high heels 🤷♂️.
I don't know... There are some styles that are pretty dumb but I don't know what it is called. I am guessing showing more then they need to especially if it is cold. Because frankly not everyone wants to see that, sometimes it is not the people you want to see, and it makes me uncomfortable
It’s a toss up between breast and backside augmentation and the trend toward wearing less and less in public. In the absence of legitimate medical need, rocking what your mama gave you is going to be just fine for most men, and you can safely ignore those for whom that is not good enough. I am not a fan of the modern trend of experimenting with how little can be worn while satisfying the law. I’m not here to say if it’s wrong or right I’m answering a subjective preference question.
High waist pants do usually look good to me. I could list other things I do not like but I am not sure if they are really trends in some case they have been around my whole life.
I think the whole puffy lips thing is just weird. I think women brand their lips or something to get the look, but the whole look just seems like a lady has had an extreme allergic reaction.
Shaved head. Unless you're in the military or have a severe illness its not a tasteful trend.
As much as I love to see yoga pants, its not a fashion trend for every day if you're not at the Gym every day. Gym clothes are for the gym.
10cm+ heels, impossible to walk with… right? just sexy on IG but in reality not so much especially after walking only 5 min starts hurting like hell and you can’t do anything
Trying to dress like women from the 80s and 1940s but not living by any of the moral OR fitness or nutritional standards women had back then.
The thong bikini I think is ridiculous I know they are popular know and even my mom just got 2 of them for upcoming vacay! But really? You’re in public cover your buns. Sweatpants are always ridiculous
All this beige shit they are selling in the shops at the moment. So sick of it I want to see colour not bland af colours that suit no one
Back in the mid `80's, everyone was always dressing in rags!! It was like being on the set of a Mad Max movie!! It was okay for a few months but it got old real fast.
Leggings that show a girl's everything down there: camel toe, wedgies, fat folds. Leave something to the imagination for goodness sake.
Obsession with plastic surgery. Almost nobody looks better afterward, they just look like creepy plastic alien pornstars.
All the Instagram, fashion nova baddie clothes that's skin tight, shows off too much, and always a damn crop top. 😑
High waisted stuff. I’m generally not a big fan. I know it’s supposed to accentuate your hips, but if you don’t naturally have wide hips, you aren’t exactly fooling anyone.
There are a few for me: *shit kicker boots with nice dresses. * massive fake eyelashes and/or nails * oversized anything * and my particular favorite - those hair buns that look like Mickey Mouse ears. They're sooooo ugly!
Wearing too sexy clothes that I don't like and will never wear. I dislike high waist means and any other means they all seem to be high waist. Don't like crop tops. I am more on short side of average women.
