What is actually unattractive to people?

I believe people find the loss of confidence unattractive rather than the physical looks. What is your take on this?

The physical looks.

The level of confidence in that person.

Physical looks. If a girl was a hunchback with a face full of scars would you date her? No.


If Danny Divito were not famous, would a lot of girls date him? He’s confident, charming, funny. No. He’s also short, a little fat, and bald.


If someone can’t pass the looks test, no matter the other qualities they have (baring wealth, power or fame) they’re out. This is a universal truth. I’m speaking generally. There are exceptions to every rule, though precious few to this one I’m sure. A quadruple amputee can be a sweet and loyal and confident as she wants, she won’t find many suitors.

A guy who loses or is not confident is less attractive, the physical appearance is not very important just at least that it is decent/acceptable.

For a girl it is the opposite: it is important that she has a charming/sexy physical appearance or at least with something that she can attract.
Then it suffices that it knows how to be at least a minimum confident.

Usually this is so but who does not stop immediately only on the surface can know and appreciate more things than a person (guys or girls) and who knows then discovers that he is attracted to something else.

Between the two options I think that for everyone is most important the level of confidence

Well, specifically for women, we decide if a guys is attractive or not by picking up on and reading his behavioural cues and actions. A confident guy is going to come across as assertive, hold value. Along with his values and morals. Being physically attractive is only a portion, and can gain that initial interest, but if you're attractive and talk to people without any respect, it's an instant turn off (for example)

I would say it's the physical looks because we live in a world where people are mostly judged for their appearance.

So, I selected confidence from the answer to your question but in reality, arrogance, always looking at phone, lack of kindness, rudeness, inability to have a conversation are way more terrible and unattractive.

Someone who has no confidence, has extreme social anxiety, and lacks social skills is unattractive, but there are also some people out there who are simply butt ugly!
