What earring size would be best for daily use?

Hi! I have two piercings, I usually just use 3mm stud earrings on the second piercing and a hoop in the first one. Yet would like to try stud earrings. Which size would you suggest looks best?

Think the ones I got my mother when she had silver ball studs were 7mm

N. b. I upgraded them to modest gold hoop style ones and am planning to buy her something high karat when opportunity knocks

I'd go 3 to 5, maybe even 6
