Is my hair too long. Should I keep it or cut it?

My hair is super long, I’ve been growing for over 7 years and now it’s past my bum. I was just wondering if hair this long is still attractive? It’s all pretty much one length. I do love my long hair but is it time for a change. I do spend many hours looking after my hair. Does it look ok or shall I cut it? I don’t know if I should just cut some off or take a leap cut lots off for a big change

it look so pretty!! i think a little cut would be perfect, like trims the end to make it more healthy. If you still want to keep a long hair but shorter and easier maintenance, keep it below your chest but above the hips, still give a sense of long hair girl but easier to take care. If you cut it drastically im afraid you’ll regret it, better little by little

Both my sister and a cousin had hair about that long. My sister cut all of hers off, in the back; my cousin's is now shoulder length. Their primary complaints (as far as I know) was maintenance and wind. They are both late 30s and 40s though, so it might also be an age thing. Regardless, it looks good on you. I'd say keep it until the maintenance takes too much effort.

It looks fantastic, but don't let guys opinions determine what you should do with your hair. If you like it long, keep it long. If you want it shorter, to any degree, get it cut as you'd like. You'll look great with any length hair, and your physical appearance shouldn't be all that a guy sees anyway

I’m stuck between cutting it to my hips or having a big change and going shoulder length

If I might make a suggestion, try going to your hips first and see how you feel. You can always go shorter, it takes a long time to grow it longer again. Either way, it'll look great I'm sure 😊

I have really long hair too, but not quite as long as yours. Yours is my goal, honestly, it looks so healthy and really suits you. I say keep it long unless you want to cut it. Seriously, it's gorgeous!

Thanks it’s taken a lot of time and effort to get it where it is now. So much maintenance but I do love it at the same time. I get so many comments on how long my hair is by everyone

It’s amazing to have it long but it does take a long time to get there. Yes I have a small trim every 3 months but I get my mum to do it. I worries the hairdressers will just cut way too much off. I have had a bad experience at the hairdressers when I was trying to grow my hair and they cut 6 inches off. I was so mad

Ugh, same. I've avoided getting it trimmed for that exact reason. I respect hairdressers telling you they know what's best, but it's my hair, and if I say an inch, I mean an inch.

But I'm thinking of asking my mom to do a small one.

I would say, cut it to your waste or bum level when you're sitting. Don't get me wrong it looks great and totally suits you, but, if you have to move it out from under yourself all the time, I bet it becomes a bit of hassle.

I think a tailbone length would be the best. So cut it but only to there, I wouldn't go any shorter (it could be too drastic for you).

Yes that’s my issue, it’s such high maintenance and takes ages. I know it would be easier if I cut it but it’s hard for I make that decision to cut it all off

Well, I had long hair in high school. Went down to about the middle of my back. It was a hard choice but I cut it. As I was getting tired of the maintenance. It took a week or two to get used to how I looked. But maintaining it was so much easier. Immediately, it was a huge relief and I was glad to not be bothered by it anymore.

Really long hair is alluring, I don't know why. I guess because long hair historically is just a feminine hallmark. Personally I think you should keep it long, it's adorable. But with the upkeep, the annoyances of it, I could understand if you'd want to cut it. Personally I think as long as a woman has at least shoulder length hair it looks good. I don't think many women can pull of like a pixie cut. Just my personal opinion.
