Why do many young Chinese women , a strict country with confucian norms wear extremely short jeans shorts and skimpy outfits nowadays?

I mean China or Chinese culture was widely regarded as a strict country where women put the relationship above all else and dress more conservatively. I mean it is imperative that women dress modestly in China and Chinese culture due to social pressure. It is inappropriate for women to wear anything too revealing in Chinese culture. But I noticed things have changed quite a lot over the last 10 years.

Despite its reputation as a strict conservative country, I noticed many younger Chinese women started wearing skimpy outfits such as extremely short booty jeans shorts. Wearing skimpy outfits to attract attention and be sexy is nothing new, but it just seems there's more of an emphasis now than ever in certain east Asian countries I've mentioned. I noticed here has been an increase in the number of younger east Asian women wearing skimpy outfits over the last few years

First of all, they don’t represent all the girls in China.
Secondly, there are certain area like the one in picture shown that girls would were special outfit and many street photographers would be there taking pictures of them. It’s kind of like a sub culture for those specific areas.
Other normal places, people still are modest.
Plus, those dress like the pic above are usually seeking attention either on their instagram or in Chinese version we called “little red book”. That’s how they get likes and earning money.

I mean yeah its that in some parts of china especially the northern chinese cities people are more conservative but it is the fact that there has been a huge increase in the number of younger chinese women wearing skimpy outfits especially in southern chinese cities that are similar to western women. this is a consequence of the reform and opening-up policy in 1990s, making more and more people get access to the western world, also with the western concept coming to China continuously.

Nowadays, many younger chinese women don’t mind wear so-called skimpy clothing. Women wear very short jeans shorts, and some are very very short. When the summer months come you will see loads of chinese girls wearing "shorts" that are so small their booty couldn't help but sayhello. Younger Chinese women have tendency to show off their legs. However, cleavage is rare seen. it is still not common for chinese women to wear revealing tops that expose their cleavages.

Well that's not necessarily true because in countries like Brazil women extremely skimpy outfits more than any other places. It's one of the countries where women dress inappropriately on a regular basis. And Brazil is a country that's well known for sexy attractive women.

They are certainly less common in very conservative countries like India, Pakistan. You will almost never see Indian women and Pakistani women wearing very revealing clothes.
