Yeah , well I certainly had no choice ( 2 daughters with fine Blonde hair ) arrrrgghh , it was not always easy , but we got better at it , well I did , right up until they were happy to take over , my 33 year old daughter still uses a hair straightener.

Looking back it was a challenging , difficult time , but we made it though and I now look back fondly on that time , I was a single father back then from ages 2 and 5 .

My sister used to have really long hair and my dad was a lot gentler brushing it in the morning. I remember one morning when my sister's hair was getting brushed by my mom and she asked my mom "can you do it like daddy does it".

When I did my daughter's hair just before a gymnastics competition, I looked up to see half a dozen women staring at me. They were very impressed. I don't think a single one thought it was feminine, but wished their partners could do the same instead.

I was part of raising my 6 girls (&3 boys)

I brush their hair braid their hair and all that.

I even let them paint my nails

If my partner doesn’t do our girls hair, I’d feel bad for our girl going to school looking like a lunatic.
our schedule just works out that he can do school drop offs and I do picks up meaning he’ll have to get her dressed and ready on the morning. Hair too. I don’t think it’s feminine at all.

I think its just trying to bond with their offspring. And thats it, as fathers its hard enough to find equal ground having a daughter. Its not like society rewards them for being an actual father. So to me its just a father taking steps to actually ya know just be able to meet half way. On a matter that is probably just as foreign as it is for the daughter to be learning themselves how to braid hair.

It would be now wrong and socially frowned upon to like force ones daughter to act in a way but trying to mutually learn with ones kid I see really no issue. Its just a dad trying to do what dads do and thats care for their girls.

As to those writing the rage comments they probably are just egotistical iditots who are jealous they don't have the same relationships. Its amazing how powerful family societal envy is.

Yeah maybe it is but you've got to take care of your daughter if you're a dad. If you're a single dad to a girl you're gonna have to do a bunch of girly shit you've never done before. Gonna have to learn how to braid and take care of long hair, probably gonna have to accept your nails getting painted, sit through a tea party or too, watch the kind of cartoon you would have never watched before, and around puberty if you're the only parent or guardian you're learning about periods, tampons, and pads so you can teach her what's happening and how to take care of it.

I think it shows he's a good father and cares about his daughters interests and spending time having fun with his daughter (s).

Now if you walk in and see your male husband braiding his own hair - he's probably gay to a certain extent.

Exception - if your jason mamoa - he could pull that off and still pull any gi at a bar he wants if he has a single braid done.

No, seeing a man doing his daughter's hair is sweet and it shows that he cares about her. That's what a good parent should do.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it at all. Plus, every time she sees or touches her hair, she'll think about how she has loving parents who think about her. Most men understand that when you create something, a little bit of yourself is put into it.

Nah its not it's feminine its being a good dad for his daughter when mom is not around. It great seeing a dad taking care of his girls from what ever from doing her hair or having a tea party with her. What ever he devotes his time to his daughter is not feminine at all its all about being the best dad he can be.

dads need to do stuff for their daughters i have met women who never had a dad in their life.

& some of the women i met were missed up in the head because of it.

I think it’s super sweet! Maybe it defies gender roles a little bit, but I would find it very attractive if my partner wanted to do our daughter’s hair. It’s a great way to bond with your child.
