Is Rare Beauty worth the hype?

What products do you recommend? I have sensitive, combination skin and I prefer blushes which don’t look blotchy. I’ve heard that their lip oils don’t last long. Not sure how far it’s true. Anyways, is there any product from RARE that you’d say is a “must have”?

@8UniquelyBoring8 Um a correction here. Olive isn't a skin tone, but an undertone. A person can have light, medium or dark skin tone along with an olive undertone. Most makeup guides usually get that wrong

Nope.. I find Rare Beauty products overpriced and overrated. I think $30 is too much for this blush. I've tried it on and it's too pigmented and difficult to blend. I know people rave about how pigmented it is but honestly I feel like that’s the problem. I can’t build it up to my liking and just looks like an explosion of blush on my face if I even use a tiny bit more.

There are cheaper and better cream blushes out there such in my opinion, such as Glossier Cloud Pain, or NYX Wonderstick, or NYX Sweet Cheeks. I would suggest not to order anything from the Internet, before first trying it on in person

Rare beauty will have the last laugh... because using all of those products will probably make your beauty rarer due to all of the chemicals contained in it that are absorbed.

I helped a lady out with this sort of stuff and while she was out walking in town, a lady stopped her and said 'Can you please tell me what foundation and blusher you use on your skin?' her response was 'I don't use any'. The lady was shocked and asked for a list of all of the nutritional supplements and other stuff she uses. Pretty funny.

Hydrolyzed collagen internally will recondition the skin and create a protective sheen around it while making it as soft as ever and collodial silver after a hot flannel will do the rest. Ozonated olive oil is good too. Getting enough minerals is the other part of the equation.

I don’t wear much makeup. I fill in my eyebrows, wear gloss and eyeliner. This is pretty much my everyday makeup routine. I have a powder blush, but I’m not a fan. I’ve been thinking of switching to a liquid blush. I rarely ever use foundation or concealer or even blush, for that matter. However, I have a friend’s wedding coming up and I’d like to try out a new shade.

Truth be told, people can use a few very comparatively cheap products to achieve a very nice effect. Which hazel is a good astringent to tighten up the skin. Anhydrous glycerin is a steal at $4.00 for a 4-6 ounce bottle. Rub a few drops on your face. Let it "dry". It will feel a bit sticky. It should. Rub in a few drops of water and let it re-dry. Repeat two more times. The anhydrous glycerin is now becoming hydrated, holding moisture in your skin's surface. I will just take about (equivalent of ) 10 drops of cocoa butter lotion and 5 drops of glycerin and rub into my hands, lower arms and face, add a couple drops of water and I'm good for the day. Ladies who feel the need for a tinted make-up can use the glycerin Tx as a pre-make-up regime.

Prepping the skin before adding the make-up will help the make-up "take" better on the skin, and likely reduce the amount of make-up needed to get a desired coverage effect.

Yes and no as with all other brands.
I never jumped on her bandwagon when she had that following up with Hailey Beiber, but I didn’t buy her blush before they hype jumped. They’re really good. I’m not big on her foundations and concealers. Same thing with lipsticks.
some are worth it and some are not.

I had no idea Rare was the name of the cosmetics either 🤣 I was like um you dont need makeup nor completely blemish free skin to be beautiful 😂 Girl i ain't worn makeup since i was forced to in ballet as a kid. I dont know anything about that crap. Took forever to learn the difference between eyeliner and eyeshadow 🤣 The women in my family dont even wear makeup unless theyre going to church on Sunday.

Not a fan of selena Gomez's music but the oval/circle blush looks cute. I don't wear blush but the compact is pastel pink, has a mirror, and the formula looks smooth. Either that I'm not interested in the other products.
