What do you think about the South Asian saree fashion trend. Do you see it as one of the most cultural trends in the world?

I'm South Asian. Both my grandmothers wear sarees every day. My mom does not know how to wear a saree, lol. She owns a few grand ones which she wears for select weddings of close relatives (with the help of my grandma). I don't wear sarees either. I tend to stick to sundresses, jeans, skirts etc. I wear a lehenga whenever I attend a wedding. I'll probably wear a saree on my wedding day as is customary, like a white wedding gown or a hanbok is for other cultures.

I don't view it as a cultural "trend". It's always been "in" here. I find them really pretty, but not something I'd wear on a daily basis. Maybe for special occasions.

I’ve always found it beautiful. I’d love to own a saree, kurta and a kimono (of japanese culture) as well but not if wearing any of those will come across as culturally inappropriate. One of my fave musicals as a kid was Bride and Prejudice. I loved the dress styles and dance numbers.

I think they're lovely, graceful and beautiful! Like a princess gown, so majestic. I would feel rude wearing one of these though, as a non-Indian/South Asian
