Girls, Was this woman right for confronting me over what I wore to a yoga class?

I went to my first yoga class yesterday. A friend has recommended it to help my reduce soreness in my upper back.

I wore a t shirt and pair of mesh shorts.

a woman behind me commented to me after class I might want to wear shorts that hold me in more since she could see “your junk” dangling through my shorts

Doesn't sound like she was being rude. Sounds like she thought you might want to know. Why don't you wear briefs when you do that? Even if you find something else more comfortable surely you could wear something that kept things secure and out of sight for the duration of the class and then change. I really don't think she meant any harm by it. Sounds to me she figured you might not be aware and wanted to let you know.

I really don't think she did. Of course I have no clue the tone she used. She may have just been telling you as an in case you were wondering type of way...

Do you think she could notice I wasn’t wearing underwear and that’s why she said it? I guess I don’t see why that would be any of her business

I could, I just usually don’t unless I’m playing sports where there is a lot of moving - I didn’t think it would make any difference in a yoga class where you just stretch - it’s not like we were jumping around or anything

Now that I think more about it, I’m a little embarrassed- I had no idea you could see anything through the shorts. It’s not like they are see through or anything

Do you think you can actually see much through shorts? I don’t get how she knew I wasn’t wearing underwear

Obviously she could see up your shorts during a pose. I don't know dude. I wasn't their.

I’m def going to next class now! I’m just so embarrassed, I didn’t think there were any poses she would be looking down by shorts you know?

She was behind me about 5 feet.

It’s not like I didn’t have shorts on, why would it matter if I was wearing underwear
