Girls, Can I wear shoes to my first Yoga lesson?

I was with my friend in her house and she told me she was having a yoga lesson tomorrow with all her friends from korea and all and she asked me if i wanted to join her too and i said yes she is 16 and still does yoga since 10 years old so I decided she was good at but im not sure if your allowed to wear shoes to a yoga lesson as I've seen many people not wear them. Is that like sorta not allowed? 😭
