Does God defend us when we leave our battles in His hands?

A poor Christian shop owner had a robber who kept breaking into his business and stealing things, he knew who did it because gossip got around, but God told him not to fight or confront the person who did it.

After many robberies, and one month after God told him not to fight or humiliate the thief that was stealing from him, he learned through others that the thief was dead. His shop thief tried to break into another business which was even bigger than his business, and the business owner shot him during the break in.

He said, he did not promote celebrating that your enemy is dead, but he did understand why God would avenge his business and protect him from future theft.

And the former shop owner who is now a pastor, said, do not fight your own battles, God will deliver you in His time.
