Is spf important for me I have dark skin?

Just wondering if it's important for me to wear spf on my face. I have dark skin and melanin.

I mean it can help prevent you from getting darker skin which would absorb the sun's rays more. As to what SPF well you can probably tolerate a lower SPF but some is probably going to keep your skin healthier than not having any.

Yes. Very important. I have darkish skin, too, from having ancestors from North Borneo and India. My family home is right on the sea front, so I spend much of my spare time on the beach. I will always use loads of high factor sun block.

Yes, sunscreen isn’t just to prevent getting a tan, it’s to prevent skin damage in general. It’ll help with anti-aging too

Any color skin is subject to getting damaged by UV rays. Wearing sunscreen and limiting overall sun exposure is important for everyone.
