Looking to surprise my girlfriend with some clothes from Shein. Seems cheap. What's the deal, are they legit?

Yeah they’re legit but the quality is a bit hit or miss though. Some items are good quality some are not. Some have normal fabric some have weird thin plastic feeling fabric. Sizes is also off on many items, usually they run small so for some you need to size up several sizes. If you’re going to buy anything from there then look at the description of the item to see what material they’re made of and read reviews and look at the pictures that other customers have posted to see how they fit on them.

Should mention though that it has been found that some of the things they have sold before had toxic chemicals in them or high lead levels.

Packages from there usually takes a couple of weeks to arrive as it’s sent from China.

Oh. Didn't know all that, thanks. The sizes thing is a good thing for her, she's almost 5' and finding her size can be tough. That's 1 reason why I was looking there.

Yes I never found their clothes to be small I expected them to be smaller than they are considering it’s Chinese the sizing is truer to American bigger than European sizing. There are reviews with photos on a lot of their items which help a lot. I agree the quality is hit or miss.

I bought a couple tops from Shein, and so far they've held up pretty well. These tops here I got from Shein. Nothing I bought was flimsy or so thin it tears with no problem.

I'd go a size up though.

For example I always buy a 0XL, but it feels more like a Large. If you get say a Medium, it's going to be more like a Small.

These clothes and anything else you order from Shein take awhile to get to you, like three to four weeks.

I never bought anything from Shein and never will. I hate spending money on cheap things and bad quality. Shein apart from looking cheap it also looks juvenile. Get her something nicer from ASOS.

I shop on Shein, definitely not bad quality, and not juvenile. Downside is they take three to four weeks to come in, and you have to go a size up.

Sorry most of us aren't privledged.

I haven’t ever shopped there to be honest because I’m a size 2-4 in US pants sizes are a bit crazy here.
