Based a bit off Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew or George Bernard Shaw’s My Fair Lady… Movies like Miss Congeniality & She’s All That- Are they sexist or realist?

Realist: You're not gonna find romance if you don’t try to look as attractive as possible. Obviously go with your self expression and personality, but there are standards right?

It's every girl's fantasy. It's the cinderella fantasy. Where the ordinary average poor girl all of a sudden becomes pretty, everyone sees she's extraordinary and a handsome wealthy Prince falls in love with her and marries her. If it's sexist then it's internalised sexism. These movies are made for women because women love them, like guys aren't going to see them unless with a girl. It's much like how men love action movies, the strong guy who bangs the Hot chick/chicks and save the world.
