What color boots should I wear with this dress?

What KIND of boots are you thinking?
I'd go with granny boots with a dress that short. Red granny boots (although black is... OK). Or perhaps shoes like this at DSW.
I was thinking over the knee.
If you have nice legs - and for a dress like that, you better have nice legs - I'd say show them off. However, a good over-the-knee boot can be sexy too although I don't know if I'd go with that much black.
You need some balance.
The dress itself, being short, is a mix of two colors - red and white.
But, whatever color you choose, with boots that long, that color will become the dominant color of the outfit with the red and white of the dress becoming secondary colors. This is one reason why I went with the granny boots - they won't dominate the look. This look and style should be about that nifty dress and the footwear accentuating, not dominating, it. So, red or white or even black granny boots are good but don't hog the look.
Not a good choice for her age.
Over the knee would look great with this dress.
@John987654321 Her age is fine for that dress.
Over the knee boots can also be fine, but my point is that whatever the color of the boots is is the color that dominates the theme of the outfit. And that would cause the eye to focus on the boots and not on the dress. That dress should be the star of the outfit, not boots.
Yes, that dress *is* fine for her age. Awesome, actually. It was the granny boots that didn't seem like a match, in my mind, for a late teens/early 20s woman. Red basic stiletto heels would also be great, but she wants to wear boots, and the asker expressed a preference for OTK boots, and I feel those can be fine. You do have a good point about the dominance of the OTK boots, but there is also a lot of activity in the dress, so that wouldn't get totally lost. That's why I suggested black *in a pinch*, but it would have to be styled right. She probably wants to wear the dress to a Christmas party, so that's also why I suggested red or white, or even green.
I think what would look really sharp for Christmas with that dress is white hosiery, with green heeled ankle boots with all accessories being green, but red boots of any shaft height with all accessories red, or a mix of white and red, would also look quite awesome. Even with red OTK boots, the dress would still stand out, as the boots would be complementary. In my humble opinion.
@John987654321 I pretty much agree. You see my point.
I would suggest red. White would be my second choice. If you're wearing this to a Christmas event, green with green accessories would also be great. In a pinch, black could also look nice with black accessories. Beige would also work if you did it right, if you wanted the dress to stand out with the boots more in the background, if you're wearing neutral hose or no hose.
What did you have in mind?
I think white would be too much white. I think a black or red knee boot would look better.
Either black, or if you want to look particularly stylish and sexy, red.

White. But Snowboots would be cute too
Red, black, or beige should work well.
Don't confuse the eyes. They should be looking at the dress, not the boots. I think white boots. Just enough to match, but not enough to draw attention from the dress. I think red boots would divide attention.
I think Grey or black would be ideal for this outfit. Black is a safer colour but I personally think grey matches better.
Both @DizzyDesii and @sheikalana have answered this perfectly.
White booties or beige uggs.
Brownish colour knee length.
Black, with white fur trim. Like Santa.
Black or white I think
Definitely black.
How about the black
