I have 4 or 5 medium tattoos (the largest being slightly bigger than my hand) that need touching up. Is it likely to be possible/practical to get it all done in one session? How long do touch ups typically take? I understand it's different for every tattoo but I'm hoping for a ball park before i waste an artists time and also to budget. Also one of them was done by the shop I intend to go to the others are from various shops, are most artists comfortable touching up other peoples work?

Is going to vary a great deal , tattoo dependent , state of the tattoos , colour , artwork , etc etc , I'd be allowing 30- 45 mins per tattoo , detail dependent. As for the guy / girl touching up all 5 ? They will not have a problem with that..
General info only of course , but I'm pretty confident this is a good guide , so may only take 15 - 20 mins , but again depends on the artwork involved.
I had my two tattoos touched up, and they are both about 6x4" solid colored Playboy bunnies on my arms. It took maybe 45 minutes for both bunnies, and he packed a bunch more color for the shading. He didn't do the outlines, and now they have faded a bit so maybe I'll go back and get thicker lines at some point.
