It actually could mean a lot of things when you know exactly who you are when your friends know exactly who you are. you know you dress crazy if you do anything crazy they're going to laugh and they're going to give you a hard time about it and you're going to smile and shake your head yes because you know they're just joking you're doing whatever for a reason and it really doesn't bother me if anybody gives me a hard time about anything really because I know exactly who I am what I've done where I've been

And then if there's people that don't know me give me a hard time about whatever

I did the same thing I smile and shake my head yes because they don't know who I am they don't know the reason why I'm doing what I'm doing it so I just let it go

No I can only say all the above as an adult because I pick and choose my clothes I pick and choose everything I do it's my choice

And so many times on here you will hear me say I don't give a flying f u c k with anybody thinks or says or does because they don't know me.

But then I thought of something maybe the kids at school maybe a guy walking down the street in the dress kind of funny in old clothes maybe dirty I don't know.

And they dress that way because that's all they have

And if people laugh at them shame on them

But anyway when you know who you are it doesn't matter what you do in life really as long as you know who you are down deep with people laugh at you it doesn't really matter it's a moment in time

And one of the best parts is if they laugh at you that day is too bad they couldn't see you the next day when you're all cleaned up and you are looking good that's the best part about people laughing at you is they Don't know who you are so it doesn't really matter

we all care about others perception, to a level...

the difference might be on how much we let that affect us or have an effect on us...

personally, I don't really care if people were to find it funny or disliked, criticized whatever I wear or style... but then, I would have to care more, if it were to affect my career or work, for example

I think that means you just don’t want people harassing you. Just because you don’t care what people think doesn’t mean you want people disturbing your peace, bullying, and poking fun at you.

Do it behind my back, or keep it to yourself. Don’t bother me with your opinion on how I look when no one asked.

I used to get irritated as a kid. I wore eyeliner and my mom would always give me her opinion that I didn’t ask for and wouldn’t shut up about it. It wasn’t that I cared about what she thought, it was that I literally couldn’t give any shits about what she thought and she was constantly nagging as if I was going to change my look just because she didn’t like it.

It’s okay to give yourself grace that in some ways it does matter and it can affect you especially if it’s people you know / friends / family / etc. But I believe what’s important is learning to just be confident about being you and what makes you feel good/comfortable about yourself :) Tbh some people used to make comments about certain looks, hats, or hair colors I had…. But it didn’t really matter because it’s about my happiness - to do what I want, what makes me feel good, and being different is what makes you unique. I hope you find that within yourself too! 😊

Yeah it does  I'm confident in my fashion but it is wildly eccentric from the silk ties to the peacock feather in my hat and the lashings of good jewellery
