Why do people worry about what others wear?

If someone is wearing an outfit that looks good on them, I'll go tell them that.
But really, it's none of my business regardless.

Sometimes it's boredom. Other times it's because the person feels like it is actually affecting their life.

Eh... I try to give people like that the benefit of the doubt where it's reasonable. The person might be mentally ill or trying to be controlling. They also might be objecting to the clothing because of the context it's being worn in. Maybe they're worried that the clothing is drawing the wrong kind of attention and that thew person wearing it is unaware of that.
